Dropped in here to check out the bar after Lotus Fest. Majorly depleted beer stock. Out of 8 taps they had maybe 5. DFH 90, Bluegrass Brewing Jefferson's Reserve, Brugge Black. Settled on a BBC Quarryman's Pale, and took in the eclectic decor. Cool twisted wooden vine sculpture on the wall, old farm implements were strung up in a wire web. Modern interior meets funky country kitsch decor. Hip, with a broad appeal to the organic/eco-conscious foodie crowd.

Friendly and prompt service. Brunch menu seemed pizza-centric with a burger even...huh. Passed on the food, but the takeout menu sounded to die for. Will return for the food another time. Server mentioned late afternoon was tapas time before the dinner menus are available. Local friends dine here often, so the food is solid.

The highlight of this place is the excellent food. Chef Daniel Orr is known for using primarily local foods to create, what he calls, "real food for real people." Its sorta expensive, but definitely worth it. Their "Root Cellar" bar features live music and a decent selection of microbrews, including two local breweries, but it is not the best selection in Bloomington. The atmosphere is very laid back and kind of romantic. The wait staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about both the food and drinks served at FARM.

I highly recommend this place.
