Dark inky black pour into standard pint glass. 1/2 finger of thick cream head. No retention. Laces well.

Coffee, chocolate, cocoa, and weak roast malt all combine for a great aroma.

Lots of chocolate malt hits first. Dark roast coffee kicks in after that. Anise chimes in on the back end.

Nice and chewy feel. Very thick and very filling.

One is enough, just because the beer is so thick.

Poured a deep black hue with a one finger foamy off white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a robust roasted malt and dry coffee.

The taste was dominated by a dry roasted malt and a touch of smoke.

The mouthfeel was toward the fuller side of the style with some chewiness.

Overall a very nicely done, robust stout.

Black in color, head fades quickly with no lacing.

Smells of roasted grains and coffee, somewhat faint but pleasant.

Taste is perhaps a bit basic, but well balanced. Roasted malts and coffee are dominant. Pretty classic stout, it didn't stand out one way or the other.

Mouthfeel adequate, I felt it got a little thin towards the end, but quite drinkable.

Nothing wrong with this, I'd have it again.

"Fat and chewy Oatmeal Stout with a sweet silky finish. Brewed with Canadian Oats, Belgian Special-B (dark crystal), and Honey Malt...yummy!"

Served on draft into a pint glass. Black with a couple of ruby hues and highlights. Mocha colored head of about one finger. Very nice lacing down the side of the glass as well.

Plenty of chocolate and coffee aromas. Great roasted and toasted malt aromas with a touch of citrus like hops.

Chocolatey and very coffeelike, just like a stout should be. Slightly sweet but balanced out very well with the burnt and toasted malts. This could almost serve as a breakfast stout/beer.

This was my favorite of all the beers I tried here at Outer Banks Brewing Station. I would certainly be able to finish off multiple pints if driving wasnt an issue. I loved this one!
