I've been waiting for this to come back in season and this year it's available in cans. Same great taste, not too sweet, but yummy none the less. Smells like the most heavenly peanut butter treat that can't possibly be coming from a beer, but lo, it is true.

Standard sized bottle, brought back from the States.
It poured dark brown, with an inch of tan foam.
The smell is peanut butter, and some sweet chocolate. I was skeptical, but is really does smell nice.
The taste has more chocolate roasted malts. A bit nutty, and more on the sweet side. Peanut butter is not nearly pronounced in the flavor as the aroma.
The body is medium, moderate carbonation, dry finish.
Better than expected, was assuming it would be overly sweet or artificial, but this one actually worked nicely.

UPDATED INFO - this beer used to be available in 4 pack bottles. Now it comes in six pack cans for a cheaper price. It does not taste the same. Now it is has less peanut butter character on the backend and more hop profile. If you ask me it's a watered-down version and a sad day for me. I totally loved this beer. Current score 3.75

Crack it. Pour it. Smells of a roast peanut butter cup. Can't see through it when held to light in a pint glass. Smooth mouth feel. Lasting roasted peanut flavor. I don't know if they set out to make a peanut butter beer and hit it dead on or if they made it, tasted it and named it. Eigher way it is exactly what they named it. Good job to the brewers at horny goat.

This beer is amazing. Aroma is pure peanut butter madness. Sure it's slightly artificial but so is peanut butter. This beer is one of my favorites and on par with the best specialty beer I have ever found. I bought all I can get my hands on. Awesome beer. Don't be a beer snob.

Interesting beer. Better than Sweet Baby Jesus, which is very similar. Here goes:

A: Deep black with somewhat of a red hue. Pours a modest head that leaves very good lacing.

S: Great. Lots of peanut butter cup, nuts, rich chocolate and some coffee. Great.

T: Unfortunately, the smell doesn't translate to the taste very well. While a good beer, I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of sweet malt. Initial tastes of deeply roasted peanut and coffee. Some chocolate, but this is overly burnt and not at all sweet. Good, but nothing to write home about.

F: Very rich and creamy.

O: Good beer; just wish it was sweeter. Like in SBJ, the smell was somewhat deceptive.

In a pint glass the beer was a very dark brown, near black, color. A decent size tan head with plenty of lace.
Aroma of chocolate and peanut butter.
Taste followed the nose. Chocolate and peanut butter. A little coffee.
There was an unpleasant sharpness to the mouthfeel. Happy to drink what I have, but won't be buying this again.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a big creamy brown head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is strong roast chocolate and peanut butter.

The flavor is roast chocolate and big peanut butter and a bit of an acidic finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, very interesting lots of roasted chocolate and peanut butter.

Immediately after cracking the bottle open the aromas of chocolatey peanut butter smash against your nasal cavity!

This is a beer that as you sip it just gets better and better. The peanut butter hangs on your tongue for a nice after taste and the chocolate hits you instantly. Has a rich chocolate smell to it, with a low carbonation feel. This is defiantly a beer for the bucket list. Cheers!

I'd prefer more beer in my beer. Great looking in the glass and this beer also leaves nice drapery on the glass, but this was just overkill by off tasting chocolate and peanut butter.
