Toasty and rather malty on the nose. The pumpkin is a nice pumpkin bread with some balanced spice of cinnamon and nutmeg.
The front gives the perception of watery pumpkin and a tinge of spice. It ends in bitterness and tastes of black licorice and clove, two of my least favorite flavors.
For something that started so aromatic this did not transfer in taste.

This was the most impressive beer from Horny Goat that I have tried so far, worth a taste...

Everything about this beer screams fall and I love it. The color even reminds me of fall leaves, golden orange. That aroma of spices stand out far more than most big brand pumpkin ales that claim to us them, though not quite as strong as something like Pumking. The spices come through in the taste as well, though not as strong as the aroma might have you expect. The flavor of roasted pumpkin and caramel come through as well. With all that in mind it's surprisingly light, I almost wish it were heavier for those lazy rainy fall days.

Served in an Ohio State shaker pint glass.
Goddammit it. (The label, anyway.) This stuff pours a hazy orange-amber topped by a finger of glowing off-white foam. The nose comprises pumpkin pie spices, caramel, and a touch of corn syrup. The taste brings in more of the same, the caramel drier and even a touch toasted now. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, not a bad pumpkin beer, really. Likely one of the best things with the Horny Goat name on it.

Aroma is cinnamon, spices and slightly perfumed. The flavor is cinnamon, spices, a hint of pumpkin, malts and a mildly tart finish.
