Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a dark brown color with auburn highlights and no head whatsoever. The nose is subtle, with nutty sweet tones and a touch of roasting. Flavors are roasty, as well, with some nut sweetness and a touch of smoke. Subtle flavors on a thin body. The aftertaste is sweet, with hints of caramel. Slick, clean finish. Flavors are decent, but the beer lacks any body of punch. Nothing major, but just lacking substance for me. (472 characters)

I had this beer from a growler at a recent fantasy football draft. This was my first beer and the only one I actually paid attention to throughout the event.
Poured cold into a pint glass the brew exhibits a cocoa brown hue with fluffy tan head of .5 cm foaming up and fading to an edge layer quickly. Aroma is chocolate malt, some toffee almost butterscotch notes like a werthers candy. Roasted notes mix in as well.
The first sip reveals an average body with fine gentle carbonation.
Flavor is as nose advertised with little hop presence and malt driven brew.
Toffee and chocolate mix with roasted malt coming through on the finish. I do get mild earthy hops in the background at the finish but these are mild and easily missed. The beer is well crafted, and easy to drink. I enjoyed several pints while I drafted a dominant team. Next time in the area I will make a point to hit up the brewpub itself and try some draft offerings and meal. (943 characters)

On-tap at the brewpub in New London, NH. Two finger tan head that fades slowly leaving a trace of lace. Almost black color. Light carbonation and heavy bodied. Chocolate/coffee nose. Starts with a bitter chocolate/coffee flavor, hints of sweetness, bakers chocolate finish. The ABV is 4.72%. (291 characters)
