Appearance: very orangey with gold highlights. Thick foamy white head.

Aroma: bitter, but with very noticeable malt character. Piney resins, some citrus fruit, but also a very full bread aroma, with a yeasty tinge to it

Taste: a great medium bodied pale ale, strong pine and a little citrus hip character with a bitter finish, but the flavor and finish are bolstered by strong bread notes and a thicker/fuller mouthfeel. Great embodiment of English and American style pales.

Mouthfeel: medium body, medium carbonation, smooth finish

Overall: Fantastic pale ale. One of the best I've had. Not balanced, but almost. Strong bread notes that are just outreached by the hop flavor and bitterness. Can't say enough about this pale ale. (735 characters)

12oz can picked up at Brewforia Eagle over the weekend... Finally getting around to pouring it tonight... A generous 1" white head dies back fairly quickly.. great lacing.. the brew is clear light orange.

The nose is pretty interesting with this one.. Hop presence is both grassy/spicy and fruity.. American hoppiness with the heavy hand for an APA comes through a little bigger with a sorta tropical fruit hoppy essence, but there is still a Continental hop backbone... very interesting..

Flavor shows a light toasty malt presence.. the hops are more present with the American spectrum... Fruity/mango/minerally hops make me think of the Flintstone vitamins of my childhood..

Pretty standard light body with good carbonation.. very drinkable.. this one has tons of complexities that I haven't ever had with a standard pale ale.. I know that this was brewed for Snow King, but I hope the peeps at Snake River make this a year round beer... This is leaps and bounds better than most pale ales.

It is not too often that I rave over a standard pale ale... but this one is special.. find it while you can.

Pours a clear, copper color. 2/3 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of piney hops, slight citrus hops, sweet malt, hint of resin, and a hint of pale malt. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, piney hops, sweet malt, slight caramel malt, hint of resin, and a hint of alcohol. Overall, a simple, but refreshing brew. The caramel and resin-y flavors are quite a complement to the hop bitterness. (531 characters)

This is in every way the superior of the two pale ales brewed by Snake River. It has a deep amber color. The head might be a little thicker, and the smell a little stronger--it is a very gentle citrus.
The flavor is great,. It starts out as just a fresh with a citrus hop, which only gets strong in the mid-taste. The swallow leaves a bitter tang. The deepness has a certain breadiness to it that is distinctive among pale ales, making it engaging. If I had access to it on the East Coast I would drink it regularly. (516 characters)
