This brew is styled after the unfiltered “Bier Blanche” of Hoegaarden, Belgium. Coriander and curacao orange peel are added in the brew kettle to impart a fruity and subtle spicy aftertaste. Fifty percent wheat malt and a hazy appearance give it a “white” color. Dim Wit Bier is a signature beer of Chris Erickson. Ask the bartender to make you a Dim Wit!

This poured a cloudy yellow with an inch of foam.
The smell had light lemon citrus and a bit of coriander but not much else.
The taste had a bit of lemon very light banana, coriander and a little bit more of spice. Quite dull for a Witbier.
Light bodied with medium carbonation.
Drinkability? When I was done with the pint, I wasn't inspired to have another. Just a slightly above avergae Wit.

09/04/05- On tap via samplers at the Snake River Brewing Company in Jackson Hole, WY.
Presentation- Two 5oz samplers via the tap.
Appearance- White peach coloring. Decent and thicker head than expected and light lace.
Smell- Corriander, orange peel, pepper and some other spices.
Taste- Yes there is corriander and some orange and lemon flavors, but this is not sweet in the least.
Mouthfeel- A bit watery, medium carbonation.
Drinkability- Not a great example of a wit. Has potential, but it doesn't really hold together as is. This supposedly is modeled after hoegaarden....not quite.
