Thanks to my parents for grabbing a couple sixers of this on their vacation.

Poured a crisp golden orange with 2 fingers of creamy white head. Great retention and great lacing.

Smells of pine and citrus hops. Pungent, oily and FRESH smelling. Fantastic!

Taste follows the nose. Great juicy citrus (mainly mango and grapefruit) hops, oily and sticky pine hops. No balance to this beer at all and that is why it tastes so GD delicious.

The only thing that I feel like they could improve on is the body of this beer. A little thin for my liking but it is extremely easy drinking. Great carbonation with a drying hop aftertaste. Hop dragon breath inducing for sho!

One of the best IPA's that I have had ever, hands down. No balance, full flavored, juicy and sticky. I need to get some more of this even though I still have 10 left...

This is some seriously good beer...Did not expect much when I ordered it and even less when I saw it. Dont get me wrong-the appearance is beautiful but it doesnt look anything like a bold or hoppy good ipa. The light appearance masks an absolutely amazing hop profile that instantly made me think of Pliny. I think this stuff is actually bolder yet smoother than the elder...the lower abv explains the smoothness but I can't put a finger on the source of the bold goodness. Mouthfeel is very nice....I feel like this is an ipa even casual ipa drinkers would enjoy...you can taste the hoppy goodness but it still goes down incredibly smooth without more than a slight hint of bitterness.

If you see this, buy immmeeeed and enjoy!

One of the best beers I have had in a while....thank you Mr. Johnson (my neighbor) for bringing this beauty home from a recent vaca! The beer poured a very nice clear copper with thick white head that laced all the way down my glass like a Vicki secret model. The smell was a nice tangerine mixed with pine. The taste followed suite. The mouthfeel was a medium in body with good carbonation. Overall this is a top beer for me....I will buy it on sight fo shizz!!

Bought a 12 fl. oz. can of this from Wild Bill's Grill in Alta, WY for $5. Poured from the Red/Blue/Black Labeled can w/ Pako the Dog in front of the Tetons into a 16oz Pint Glass. Has no freshness date on the can but am sure its fresh since we are within miles of the brewery.

Aroma- The aroma is made up of a mixture of "brewery hops" and an Unreal citrus punch on the nose. Zings the nose with both of these and almost resembles a 2X IPA aroma.

Appearance- Pours a 2 finger head that is long lasting. Has a dark, golden/light copper colored body and is clear-semi-hazy. Leaves good lacing behind.

Flavor- The hop flavor is very strong and awesome in this IPA! Tons of citrus and a medium bitterness level finishes this one up. A perfect amount of characteristic and hop flavor are included throughout each drink. Doesn't get old.

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Smooth, and bites the tongue with hop.

Overall Impression- No wonder this one won awards at the recent Beer Fest! A nice citrus/well hopped brew with a punch in each section of the rating. Would definitely recommend this for anyone in the area and is able to buy! For my first from Snake River, ready for many more.

enjoyed from my kentucky bourbon barrel ale snifter. huge thanks to pokesbeerdude!!!

a - brew poured a murky orange with a thin bubbly head that bubbled away rather quickly. some visible carbonation could be seen when held to the light.

s - really wonderful hop blast. citrus and grapefruit and tropical fruits. some candied sweetness. the columbus hops dance beautifully with the simcoe.

t - YUM. candy and hops. fantastic sweetness. robust flavor. how can you go wrong with columbus and simcoe though?

m - medium bodied, a bit syrupy, but it works. leaves an oh so subtle bitterness in the finish.

o - overall, a full flavored IPA. really tasty. EXTREMELY impressive IPA. surprised you don't hear about this one as it is really a wonderful beer.

Cans dated 9-18-2011 which I received as a gift from a friend who works up in Jackson!

A - Beer poured from can to a pint glass. Pours a rich golden amber with a nice 2 finger white creamy head with very good retention and lacing throughout.

S - A soft floral hop aroma with some earthen pine and citrus, resiny. A fresh malt background allows for a hint of sweetness.

T/M - Surprisingly creamy/silky from the get go as it coats the palate. Resiny hops coat the palate with herbal and earthy oils and exhibits great hop flavor. Medium bitterness. Sweet malty base, with hints of toasty caramel. Semi-juicy fruitiness and Alcohol becomes more pronounced and spicy as the beer warms. Finishes dry with residual hop oil linger and coarse feel on the palate. Medium to Full bodied.

O - Very well balanced between the malt and the hop flavors. A great example of an American IPA. Would recommend.

Fluffy, white, foamy, two-finger head rests atop a crystal clear orange brew with lots of yellows. A bit light in color, but nice lacing!

Lots of melon, orange, lemon, and spice stand out in the nose. Kinda smells like the inside of a pumpkin.

SMOOOOTH! This is quite possibly the lightest and smoothest IPA i've EVER had. No heat or bitterness. This brew is silky smooth with lots of creamy light citrus goodness. My only complaint is that it lacks a bit of "hop bite". A tiny bit bitterness comes in at the very end and traces throughout your mouth. Thin body with perfect light carbonation. Very sessionable.

Highly recommended brew. Perfect for a hot and muggy summer day. Super glad this was recommended to me when I was in MT, as I had walked past it numerous times previous. YUM!

grabbed a sixer of cans in Jackson - was excited to see local hops in a can

from notes

appearance: cool can design, golden orange body, thick off-white head

smell: potent and fresh - ruby red grapefruit, bright citrus, pineapple, tropical fruit

taste: exceeded all expectations - a terrific IPA and a joy to drink around the campsite. Lovely floral hop profile - ruby red grapefruit, orange zest, lemon, pineapple, passion fruit, pine resin, sugar. If this were locally available, I would purchase - rivals Oskar Blues for best canned hops on the market

mouthfeel: light bitterness, medium body

overall: great!

a: logo shaker pint, medium amber in color, capped with a thin but well retained layer of white carbonation, leaving light lace behind

s: gorgeous hop profile - fresh resinous hop cones, red grapefruit juice, citrus peel candy, malt body mild but supportive, featuring light doses of toasted caramel, impressive

m: carbonation and body both smooth and somewhere in the light-medium range

t: making a big impression from the first sip, this baby is absolutely loaded with pungent flavors of fresh grapefruit juice, oily and intense, candied young pine, light-moderate pale malt body with brushes of caramel and toast, some light sugars quickly overwhelmed, finishing with a building bitterness that flirts towards puckering levels, really digging the low/moderate malt and high hop ipa's these days

d: no problems here - would have never conceived that this beer could be over 5 percent, beautiful hop profile and drying finish make for a satisfying, easy drink

draft enjoyed on the brewpub patio on a cold October night

Pour - a beautiful golden orange color that's quite clear and produces about an inch of white foamy head that leaves some nice lacing.

Aroma - before you even bring this beer to your nose you'll be smelling two things; grapefruit and pineapple. The nose on this beer is heavenly. Loads of big tropical fruit aromas along with the bitter pine and astringency of those simcoe hops. They've got the hop blend down perfect and certainly didn't skimp on those green little monsters.

Taste - bitter, tropical fruit, sweet oranges, loads of grapefruit, resiny and just about perfect. The weight of this beer and the sheer volume of hop flavor along with being nicely balanced and not too astringent is out of this world. It's light on the tongue and not too sweet and those pineapple and grapefruit flavors just keep coming. This is an outstanding IPA.

Overall - hands down one of the best canned IPAs we've had in awhile (or ever). I'd easily put this among the top 5 available in the US. This might be a secret all you folks in Wyoming have been keeping but we're going to get the word out. If you love big, hoppy IPAs than this is one you'll definitely want to get your hands on!

Would I buy more of it? - no question about it. I would absolutely be buying a six-pack of this beer on many occasions. I'm still shaking my head as to just how good this IPA is, wow.

Appearance: Golden with a bit of a dark tinge and a nice white head. Superb lacing.

Smell: Strong, citrusy, resiny and piney hops, absolute classic IPA aroma. Light bready malt, clean esters, and a touch of alcohol.

Taste: Big hop bite right away, followed by a swarm of grassy fresh hops that are dominated by notes of pine resin and grapefruit. The malt makes a backstage appearance with a sweet toastiness and some very well rounded bready features. Clean and very fresh.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and somewhat silky, this beer goes down like a dream.

Overall: This is a stellar IPA, very simple in character, just ingredients fulfilling their utmost potential. It does not go along with the tropical hop profile that is all the rage right now, instead it showcases a beautiful balance of resiny pine and citrus. Pick this up if you haven't, I bet you will be surprised.

A- Thin but strong fingernail size head with good retention. Fair amount of bubbles in the body with a clear, orange/yellow color. I usually prefer a more copper/orange color in my IPAs, but this is okay.

S- Thick, oily hops dominate the aroma. I get grapefruit rind, tropical fruits, pine, and just a hint of brown sugar.

T- Lots of hops upfront. Grapefruit, pine, and a little pineapple. A little bit of sweeter maltiness balances this beer out a bit on the back, but really this is hops all the way. I love IPAs that emphasize hop flavor over bitterness, and this beer does a great job of that. It's really not that bitter at all.

M- It's medium-bodied, but the hop flavor creates the impression of drinking something like a pulpy orange juice, and I'm okay with that. It's also very oily. Hops hops hops!

O- A really great American IPA that emphasizes hop flavor and aroma over bitterness. Pleasing to drink, as long as you don't mind hops. Easily the best canned beer I've had, and definitely one of the tastiest IPAs I can think of that I've had. Check it out!

Clear amber colored beer with a tall white colored head.

Smells intensely hopped with a strong pineapple and willow tree aroma. Strong scent of mint. Some wood and strong tea. Intensely aromatic beer.

Starts out sweet and savory. Big pineapple taste and strong tea. Amazingly I can taste a caramel malt under the considerable amount of hops. For such a strong beer this isn't very bitter. Get a little sweeter as you drink it, this is all about tropical fruit taste.

Mouthfeel is almost bit not quite thick.

Overall a very tasty beer. Be warned though you had better like hops or this one will take your head off.

APPEARANCE: The color is somewhere between yellow and orange, leaning towards the yellow side. It is pretty clear and the head is beautiful – creamy, fluffy and white – it almost looks like whipped cream, but sadly it does not stick around too long. The lacing, on the other hand, really does. A great layered wall of foam covers 50% of the back of my glass.

SMELL: The aroma is all hops, but nicely balanced hops. A sweeter piney aroma is backed up by a nice variety of citrus; lemon, grapefruit and a little orange. It smells amazing, just not very intense.

TASTE: Citrus is all over this beer, particularly orange and grapefruit. The orange actually really seems to stick towards the end of each sip, but the grapefruit is there for balance. The pineyness from the nose comes through in the flavor and along with some caramel, provides a sweet taste. A very tiny hint of mustiness provides some complexity while the grapefruit and a mild tobacco flavor balance out the sweetness.

MOUTHFEEL: As I mentioned above, Pako’s IPA leans towards the sweet side. It is a little sticky, but with a dry finish. The carbonation is not terribly strong, which gives this intensely flavored beer a smoother and more drinkable feel than it otherwise could have.

OVERALL: This is a very well done IPA. In fact, when I first tried it out earlier this week I was pleasantly surprised. If you ever find yourself in the northern part of the Rockies, seek this one out. It all comes together really well. This is an excellent example of a beer that is greater than the sum of its parts.

I was surprised by this one. A perfectly good IPA, along the lines of Hop Nosh, Perpetual, etc. Nice hoppy smell and taste, with a little bit of dank. But where it raised my eyebrows was with the mouthfeel. It's very smooth and creamy, similar to Hill Farmstead beers. Impressive!

The cans just showed up at the COOP today.... this is a very good IPA.... Great 2 finger clingy head... nice lacing... nice clear golden color.

Tropical fruitbowl in the nose... pithy citrus zest and a dollop of pine.

Flavor mirrors the nose and despite the great hop flavors, it never verges into bracing bitterness... just enough pale malt to help the hops coat the palate.... yummy and very drinkable.

Body is a lite/medium with the expected carbonation.

I got this beer from Bitterbill. Thanks Bill!

12oz can served in a standard pint glass.

L - clear copper color with a off-white head that left a heavy coat of lacing on the glass.

S - tropical citrus fruit aroma.

T - very hoppy bite upfront balanced by just the right amount of malt finishing dry and bitter.

F - medium bodied with a smooth level of carbonation.

O - a pretty darn good IPA

Impeccable golden body with a very, very thick white head; lots of sticky lacing. Huge floral and pine hop aroma. Smooth hop bitterness riding atop a slight caramel and cereal grain flavor. Medium bodied; crisp and dry finish.

A hop sledgehammer! Well done -- balanced, smooth, robust...

A - transparent orang amber with a big fluffy white head that falls with a great cascading lace.

A - big pine and an amazing citrus aroma, absolute fresh hop oils sublime aroma

T - follows the nose, great pine, grapefruit and a mongo presence, this beer is stupid amazing. Great bitter finish. A pale malt for a poor attempt at balance, but who wants balance? Grab a 90 minute...

M - medium body, it's lacking a huge creamy feel buries there a slight, a little prickle in the back

O - this is one of the best american ipa's I've had to date up there with red racer (I know it's from CANada) This beer is not getting the clout because its from Wyoming but it deserves some serious recognition it will never get. Amazing brew!

Appearance: Deep orange

Smell: Citrus aromas burst forth the moment you open the can.

Taste: A delicious citrus hop-bomb of an IPA. All of the grapefruit flavors that one expects from a top-shelf west coast IPA are here. Finish is mostly dry with a touch of sweetness at the end.

Mouthfeel: Medium, medium-carbonation.

Overall: Tremendous job by Snake River, and a most welcome addition to the NY beer scene. I would rank this among my top 25 single IPAs in the country.

12oz can poured into a tulip glass

A- pours a bright and clear golden color with a big two-finger foamy and sudsy white head that retains long after the pour, leaving some nice lacing behind

S- lots of citrusy hop aroma with notes of grapefruit sand orange peel, fresh piney notes follow, very faint underlying sweet malt, clean aroma overall

T- juicy citrus hops up front with flavors go grapefruit juice and orange zest, even a bit of mango. Notes of pine & grass follow, faint underlying toasted malt allows the hops to shine

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a creamy crisp dry finish

O- a nice showcase of simcoe & columbus with just enough malt to let the hops take center stage, juicy and drinkable

From woodychandler! Woo!

Hazy, light honey colored pour, bright white head, nice lace. Juicy citrus and grapefruit aroma, with mild pine and bitterness. Tastes a lot the same with big juicy citrus notes, grapefruit and some tropical fruits. Medium bitterness, and a crisp clean finish. No linger, but that's ok. Slight slick feel. Quite a nice and enjoyable IPA!

Last of a six pack I got in Wyoming.

A- Semi hazy pale golden body from the can to a wine glass. One finger white crown with a frothy texture. Good head retention with a thin ring resulting. Sheets and drizzled lacing.

S- Juicy fruit and citrus hops basically even out and lead the aromas strength. Slightly floral with pale malts and bread hints.

T- Zesty grapefruit pith bitterness along with some pine build in strength here to blend with the citrus and tropical fruits. Tangerine, orange, pineapple, floral and mango notes. Slight bread and grainy malts.

MF- Light-medium bodied with a creamy and frothy texture. Carbonation fairly high and a moderately bitter finish.

Pakos strikes a nice balance of hop flavors with an emphasis on stone, citrus and tropical fruits along with other notes to balance it out.
