Served on-tap at Snake River Brewing (Jackson Hole, WY). Reviewed from notes.

A: Slightly hazy pale yellow, touch of amber, with a healthy 1/2-1 finger of off-white, frothy head with good retention and a nice line of crusty lace.

S: Big hops aromas of passionfruit, pineapple, grapefruit, mango, and orange with a little pine thrown in for good measure. Malt aromas are minimal. Yeast is not present.

T: A really nice mix of tropical fruitiness from the hops with a malt backbone with solid heft but not a lot of sweetness. Maltiness is mainly an impression as there is only a touch of bready caramel flavor. The hops are the focus with passionfruit, mango, grapefruit, pineapple, and a little lemon in there too. The flavor is good but not quite as explosive as the aroma. No yeast or alcohol character to speak of. A really solid-to-spectacular American IPA.

M: Crisp and moderately dry without astringency or mineral character. The body is a touch below medium with a tad too much carbonation which dissipates as it warms.

O: Another winner from Snake River - they have really nailed this style and I have yet to hit a style that they did not do well. Another top-notch job on this beer and highly recommended.

Pours a golden orange with a slight chill haze. Bubbles rising up to great the underbelly of a creamy head of white foam that fell off lazy and left rings of lace. The nose is bright orange, light tangerine, smooth pine. No malt scents until it warms and then it's just a bit of honey. Has a little spice and herbal on the nose. Taste is completely unbalanced and delicious. Has a soft malt that carries this drink smooth and with prominent citrus. Touch of bread. Plenty of tangerine and grapefruit. Slick mouthfeel. Spice and pine finish this one semi dry with a bitter that is not too sharp.

Thanks Bill for the chance to try one of your favorites.

(4.0) A: Nice copper coloured with a tall and creamy head that dissipates quickly to a thin veiled blanket. Good retention and lacing.

(4.25) S: Pine, buttery bread, grapefruit, toffee, and hints of apple & pear. Very good mix of bold aromas including a near-perfect sweet smelling bread aroma that’s hard to find in many IPAs.

(4.0) T: Similar to aroma with pine, bread, citrus, toffee, and nutty qualities. Pleasingly dry and moderately bitter with a slight richness provided by the bready malt backbone.

(3.75) M: Medium-lighter bodied with a moderate carbonation. Fair amount of resin with a mildly slick texture.

(4.0) D: Very good IPA that has some standout qualities in both taste and aroma. If this were available in my area I could see this being in my regular rotation.

A-medium amber color with a nice off-white head and decent lacing

S-citrus, malt, pine, hint of sweetness

T-grapefruit, orange, malt, light caramel, pine, moderate bitter hop finish

F- medium body with moderate carbonation, smooth with dry finish

O-solid IPA but just a touch on the sweet side for me
