There are not a lot of choices in Quebec city for decent beer (it's a small place), although things are changing. This, unless I'm incorrect, has some connection with Le Projet - I think it might be the same owners which would make sense. Small basic shop with 7 coolers of singles to the right, and 4 more common ones to the back. The 7 are stocked with half six-packs and half singles so there's a good deal to choose from. Recommended.

A nice little bottle shop right in the heart of downtown Quebec City. Everything is fairly crammed in to a small space, but the selection was really nice full of great seasonal options from local breweries and some nice European options as well. Service was friendly and knowledgeable

Small basic convenience store style with no vibe but packed with beers. Nice selection of mostly Quebec's brewers, with lots of quality stuff while not as much as say Le Monde des Bières, but still pretty good. Good service and well situated near Quebec's downtown old city near the reputable Bateau de Nuit. This is the place to go buy beer if eating at a "bring your own wine" restaurant. The service is not consistent and depends on who is working.

This shop is well located in the middle of Quebec City near all the main attractions. The shop does indeed look very small and cramped but the selection is all quality. If you search long enough you will find some treasures hidden in some shelves (some rare Chouape and Brouhaha for me). Prices seem very reasonable for location and selection. Staff is willing to help if need be. I would recommend this place over JA Moisan which is located on the same street.

Came here on a day trip to Quebec City.

Definitely has a depanneur vibe. Service was nice and seemed knowledgeable. The beer selection was the best i think in those i visited with Brasseurs du Temps that i didn't see anywhere else as well as almost all the Brouhaha beers. Prices are better than Moisan and are identified with color markers. They didn't have their Bitter from La Chouape but lots to choose from anyways. They also had the Bieres & Plaisirs newspaper there which was cool. Less cool looking than Moisan but a slightly better selection.

Happened upon this place two blocks north off St Jean, as we were walking down to La Barberie. While it's very small and mainly just stocks your usual dep items, it definitely has a better beer selection then JA Moison just a few steps away. They had quite a few seasonal/special releases that I did not see elsewhere (eg Trou du Diable Grivoise Noel). Worth the short detour, or if you're on the way to the elevator out of the old town.

Beer haul:
Trou du Diable Grivoise Noel
Simple Malt Double Porter
La Barik 5th Anniversary
B.F. La Recidive
Orléans Monseigneur d'Esgly
La Chouape Saison Houblon
Dunham Harvest Ale 2010
