I'm only reviewing this because I'd like to respectfully disagree with the general consensus about 'if you've been to one Bevmo! you've been to them all' It's actually not as true as one might think. This Corona location is the typical Bemvo! and does deserve every lump the other reviews gave it. I just want to say that individual Bevmo's do have factors that can contribute to or take away from how much they care about craft beer. The best example is the Redlands Bevmo! For whatever reason, they move a massive amount of craft beer. They get shipments in of something you wanted and it's gone in just days! This changes things. One, they are actually making a respectable percentage of their profits on craft beer (why most other stores really only care about their wine)so the store manager will be much more attentive to his craft section. Two, the beer is fresh and high quality. As opposed to the Corona and most all locations where I go to the counter and have them scan the bottle to ask how old it is. Three, when enough people ask the store for the same beer and the manager knows it will move off the shelf he acually keeps bugging the distributor to get it. Too bad all Bevmo's can't be like the one in Redlands.

Ok, let's make this short. The beer at this BevMo location is located towards the back on the left side. In addition, there were showcases of beer display located in the middle and front of the store. The usual suspects are here; AleSmith, LaChouffe, Ninkasi, Ayinger, Stone, Chimay, Wells, Fullers. I also found Hangar 24, O'Hara's, Saranac, and Schlitz too. The beers were displayed without dust and away from sunlight, making me more confident in my purchases. It may be a chain, but it's a small injection of craft beer life in the city of Corona.

All BevMo's are pretty much the same so there is not much to say that others haven't but at this store I have encountered more knowledgeable beer staff than some of the others I have been to. This use to be my Go-To beer stop for regular and seasonal beers but a new one opens closer to me. Overall if your out of state then check out 1 BevMo and that's all you need. If you live around a BevMo then go there often and you won't be dissapointed. They have tons of beer, it's just that the slection doesn't vary much. Check them out about once a month to see new selection and don't trust what the website tells you they have in stock. Call them and have someone check the shelf. This goes for any BevMo

Despite BevMos popping up around the IE like WalMarts in the Midwest, it does carry a decent selection of craft brew. Besides World Market and Tom's Farms, this is the only place in Corona to get your bottled craft beer fix. And BevMo does have the other two beat on selection. If you've been to one, you've been to them all. They have about four aisles of beer. Most of it is craft with a sizable import selection as well. Although unusual, you can find certain off-the-wall beers, the ones that I get really excited about and impulse buy immediately. But for the most part, its nothing too thrilling. One beef I have is the lack of refer space for the craft beer. I've had more than one experience of buying a hoppy beer only to get it home and find its been sitting on the warm store shelves for too long. Hit and miss, usually. Service isn't bad, however I have been detained at the register a few times while the cashier called the manager to verify my out of state ID. No big deal, though. Pretty good place for beer if you live, or happen to be in, Corona.

This is one of many BevMo!s I've been to, but the first I've actually reviewed. On a recent visit home I drove by three new/about-to-be-opened stores, so could this possibly be the next Wal-Mart? Well, maybe I should leave that for later and just review this place for now.

First of all, this place still had all its "now open" signs everywhere and half of the parking lot looked like it was still undergoing construction, so it gave me the impression that it's brand new. The selection was as to be expected from a BevMo!, huge quantities of beer, but in the end nothing that can't be found anywhere else. I was hoping to run into some of the recently released Russian River stuff, but was unfortunately disappointed. Still, a good selection especially of California micros, and an excellent import selection.

Service was also what is to be expected at a warehouse chain like this: friendly, but not overly knowledgeable. If you're familiar with any smaller, more personal family-type places in the area, I'd definitely recommend one of them, but given the IE's lack of quality beer stores, a couple more BevMo!s can never hurt.
