Pours a nice dark brown color, with some nice carbonation, with a nice small light tan head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with some nice chocolate/toffee notes, nutty, slightly roasty. The taste is very nice malty, roasty, nutty, with some pretty nice chocolate/toffee notes. Medium body. Overall, a pretty tasty brew, but should be listed under Bock. Not enough ABV, at least.

i think this is hands down my favorite bock i can remember ever drinking. its amazing, and i am still not all the way sold on ac golden, but there is no denying that this is amazing. i love the packaging and the story about 100% wheat malt, which is cool to do. the color is a rustic medium brown with a frothy and long lasting tan head. beautiful in my glass. the nose is earthy and dense malted wheat, with proteins coming out and notes of dried fruit, caramel, and rich lager yeast. im amazed how flavorful and dry this is at the same time, how its so rich in feel but drinkable too, its just fabulous. german in origin, but modernized out of the classic bock mold, this is wholly unique with all the wheat. lots of texture to the beer, lots of body, but again, super dry. carbonated perfectly and they have done a masterful job of taking a traditional style and making it special and distinct. im not sure ive ever had a bock i liked this much, or was so moved by in overall quality. its darn near perfect for the style, and easily worth the twelve or thirteen bucks i dropped on it. im going to pick up some more, this is top tier. it was also a great beer to cook with, chili, stew, anything hearty and big. bold and awesome, tip top!
