Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.

Bottled 11/12/12. Bottle # 1641.

Pours a murky light orange with a foamy bone head that fades to nothing. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with apricot and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with apricot and apricot skin flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is quite sour and tasty.

25.4 oz bottle served fresh from the refrigerator at 35 degrees F.

Batch 2 Bottled 11/12/12 Bottle #230

Appearance: Bright golden; same color as a peach. Even with aggressive pouring the beer garnished only a modest head which quickly dissipated to a centimeter worth of retention. Poured into a Unibroue Tulip; beer clean.

Aroma: Sour apricot notes, possibly lactobacillus. Soft notes of peaches and grains

Cold: Mild acidity/tartness and slight fruit flavor. Not as prominent as expected from the bottle.

After 13 Minutes: The acidity definitely becomes amped up but still maintains a pretty reasonable level and the apricot appears more prominently. There is still almost no noticeable hop characteristic.

Mouthfeel: Astringent mouth feel with a lingering tartness that dances on the tongue. Despite the low head just enough dry carbonation.

Overall: Quite an enjoyable beer. Its probably a 4/10 or 5/10 in the pure acidity factor and the subtly of the sour and apricot notes make this a refreshing take on the ever burgeoning sour category. I definitely recommend letting the beer warm as it's flavors become amplified for the better.

Full disclosure I really did not want to like this beer being basically a MillerCoors product but kudos to the brewers.

Bottle courtesy of forgetfu. Served in a snifter. Pours a slightly-hazed light orange color with a good white head and nice lacing. Nose has a really impressive apricot presence with a touch of grain and nice acidity. Flavor has really nice apricot with good acidity and a very mild funk presence. Would be better with more funk, but I can’t complain about this. Light body with medium acidity. Quite nice.

Another thanks to rudzud. Batch 1 , 2010

No head, hazy golden peach color.

Nose fresh apricot, nice funky sour lacto like funk, generic tart sour fruit and light berry notes, little stone fruit and put.

Taste semi sweet to start, then quickly turns to acidic funk, tart sour wild funk, stone fruit and little apricot like fruit, juicy bit sour. Nice juicy fruit with light bitterness. Finish is sticky little flemmy, mild acidic tart and mild stone fruit.

Mouth is lighter bod, decent carb, little acidic bite.

Overall pretty nice, tart lambic with little stone fruit and nice acidity, tasty beer.

Thanks to Lauren for the share.
This had to follow De Garde's Imperial Apricot Bu, so it had rough competition.

Golden-orange pour, moderately hazy, with a foamy cap of white head that fizzled out and held at a ring, leaving some minor lacing on the glass. Aroma of wet wood, stone fruit, soured grains, light funk. Taste of toasted grains up front, biscuity malts, woody, herbal, apricot was there, but not in a huge way, not very sour or sweet, just kind of benign, with a fruity essence, and a slight grassy funk. Light-medium body, crisp, dry. Drinkable enough, but a bit lacking in flavor.

thanks to ablackshear for this extra!

poured into tulip glass.

reviewed from notes taken 7/13/2013.

Appearance: Golden orange bodied beer with thin white cap with a few big bubbles. Quickly drops to no head and the sour looks still.

Smell: This beer smells lactic and sour! Hint of peach/apricot fruitiness. Not much funk to speak of.

Taste: This beer is rather tart! I would say 7/10 and the tartness get bigger as it warms! Peaches, apricots, and a hint of lemon. Not a lot of funk that is noted and just a hint of oak. Lingering sour finish.

Mouthfeel: low end of a medium bodied sour. Low carbonation. The beer is pretty dry and crisp.

Overall: This is a really awesome sour beer. Overexceeded all my expectations. It is legit! It does lack some complexity, but still really enjoyable if you like wild ales with hugr pucker factor. I had a 2011 Cascade Apricot this weekend and this beer held its own going against the Cascade. The hidden barrel was alot more sour than Cascade Apricot.
