Lovely helles. Creamy, sweet and malty. Lovely full, frothy feel. Pours straw gold with medium carbonation. Really enjoyable and very sessionable. Could drink in a sunny beer garden all day!

An archetypal Bavarian Helles. Light straw colour, white head, very light bread dough malt on the nose, sweet and light bread dough malt dominates the taste, and the most gentle hint of mild floral and earthy hops to keep things honest. Perfect mouthfeel, creamy, smooth, impeccably balanced, unobtrusive carbonation but it pushes the flavour around. Pretty much a perfect beer. The only thing I like more about Augustiner is the hint of lemon citrus hops character. But this is great stuff. Can only imagine how good it is on tap.

I’ve enjoyed a few other beers from this brewery so I’m more than happy to try their Helles. As expected, a really great example of the style. Smooth, creamy, grainy, a bit barny. Everything that makes a Helles great. Seriously drinkable and delicious.

Big bottle for free at Munich AirBnB. Enjoyed with samosas and a movie. Light drinker.

My favorite helles, just eeking out the head to head against Augustiner. Nice and bubbly, bit nippy on the tongue, it's got some breadiness, really good drinkable helles.

This is a close race but Tegernseer wins over Augustiner. The top of the heap…defines Bavarian Helles. When in Europe seek it out. When in Germany try it fresh. Those that know, know this is the one. Prost!

Tastes good, goes down nicely. Almost quite light. Inoffensive.

Pours a clear yellow with soapy head.
Smell is crisp and bready with notes of citrus, wheat dough and some floral hints. Very clean.
Taste is bready and slightlyhebal, clea nd crisp. Notes of citrus, rye, wheat dough and floral hints. Solid bitterness, very easy to drink.
Mouthfeel is medium, a bit creamy and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice, crisp Helles.
