Appearance: Very dark almost black. Nice tan head, about one finger thick. The head faded quickly and didn't lace the glass at all (4.75/5)

Smell: Smelt like roasted coffee and chocolate (4.5/5)

Mouthfeel: Slight thickness, tingle of carbonation (4.25/5)

Taste: Roasted flavor coffee, hint of chocolate. Very good. (4.5/5)

Overall: Very good, one of the better porters I have had. Very easy to drink, nice flavor and mouthfell (4.5/5)

Pours one finger of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is a big roasted malt with some burnt wood in the background. Excellent.
The taste is roasted malt and dark, mildly bitter, chocolate.
The texture is smooth with low carbonation.
Very enjoyable.

Appearance: Pours out with an opaque licorice-colored liquid that is topped by a somewhat thin mocha head; a decent amount of lacing clings

Smell: Sweetened chocolate and licorice tones; a very subtle hint of dark fruit

Taste: Sweetened chocolate, up front, with hints of caramel, coffee and a vague sense of prune developing; the finish is rather sweet and lacks complexity

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: I really enjoyed this beer though it seemed a bit one-dimensional to me; as others have noted, it has elements of other styles (at first it seemed a bit like a dubbel but that faded as the beer warmed) but then finished with a more chocolatey American style

Thanks, bytemesis (from the other site), for the opportunity

Picked up a can of this as a volunteer extra at an EBF a while back. Time to drink it and make room for another Heady Topper in my mini-fridge.

Beautiful, dark brown body, bordering on black. Moderate light brown head, fell off pretty quick.

Nose is tart dark fruits.

Flavor is initially tart and bitter, then smooths out a bit to a dark bitter-chocolate sweetness. Rich and satisfying on a cold-ish autumn evening.

Mouthfeel is slick and slightly chewy. Nice mouthful.

Overall, a very nice brew. I love the Baltic Porter style, and it can be hard to come by. Glad I had this one.
