Reviewed from notes. 22 ounce bottle shared by Dan - thanks.

A: Pours a hazy straw yellow with a half-inch thick white head which fades to a thin cap and leaves spotty lace.

N: Citrusy, melon, and tropical overtones. Fruity and floral.

T: Light mildly sweet malt and light citrusy hops. Well balanced.

M: Semi-moderate body and medium carbonation. Soft citrus and dry finish.

O: Easy drinking and enjoyable.

picked up this beer yesterday from the Warren store in Warren, Vermont.

split 2 ways; poured into 2 HF wine stems.

22oz bottle sealed with a pressure cap and green foil.

Appearance: translucent pale yellow bodied beer with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Lots od sticky white lacing around the glass. Head has good staying power and eventually drops down to thick uneven cap.

Smell: Mellow yet complex nose. Citrus is the biggest player. Oranges definitely oranges contributing a light orange flesh sweetness. Fresh cut grass and a hint of pine resin. A hint of dank hops and lite chalk.

Taste: light bitterness. Light pine and juicy citrus more so oranges than grapefruit, but both are present. Fresh cut grass. Just a hint of bready, cracker, & grainy malt profile to make the perfect backdrop for those hops. Finishes with light bitterness and the hops remain juicy. This has excellent flavor with a really well balanced hop profile!

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with almost moderate carbonation. This is exactly what the label name says it very, very, sessionable. Carbonation is creamy and delicate.

Overall: This is a fantastic single hop IPA that really showcases Amarillo hops perfectly. The light malt profile really makes the perfect "blank canvas" for the flavorful Amarillo hops that contribute a mild bitterness. I think that an Amarillo hop is a perfect choice for a single hop session IPA. Wish that I would have gotten a taste of the Lawsons Super session IPA when Lawsons brewed super session with Citra hops, bet that was just as good as this is or maybe even better!
