Bottle from "Rare Batch 112" bottle number 41 of 72 from the first bottling. Thanks to treyrab for sharing.
Tar-colored black, topped by creamy and fluffy head. The lacing is beautiful...spotty and stringy. The aroma is solid, but nothing spectacular. There is some smoke, roast, leather, and tobacco, along with some chocolate. The flavor builds upon the aroma, too. All of the aroma comes through again, but adds some sticky and bitter dark cocoa. There is also a touch of vanilla that gets left on the palate. Very syrupy, thick, and resinous, this is what an Imperial stout should feel like on the palate. Phenomenal, though I wish that I could try one of these fresh, when the maple syrup still plays a role.

On tap at ACBF. This was really outstanding, a really thick imperial stout, it maintained a strong maple character coming through, heavy coffee notes, and a rich all around chocolate note, this was deliciously complex and a beer that stood out for the whole festival. My first beer from Lawson's was a really inspiring experience and I would love to get my hands on more. This beer was a pretty out of this world stout. Great flavour and balance.
