This special brew incorporates malted rye in the grain bill lending a spicy character and complex flavors. Generously hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade and Centennial. This hoppy pale ale has a sneaky bite that will creep up and leave you smiling!

again i find myself indebted to the famous drlovemd87 for his generosity. this one, he just sent me away with. sure he isnt a huge hoppy beer guy, but thats a bit extreme. thanks dude, you are truly a legend. its fun beer too, very very heavy on the rye, and to have it in an amber color beer with this much grain weight is uncommon to say the least. the hops arent generic, nothing from these guys ever is, but it sure is familiar. the woodiness of the centennial and the heavy rye is really cool, a combination often tried but rarely executed like this. i think the caramel grain middle really helps, and i think the use of some hop strains that are in a ton of beer, but showcased so uniquely is what makes this beer special. carbonation is a half step behind, and the bigger body makes it a little thick on the palate. thats only a problem when flavors arent all there, but this is dialed in really well. rustic and big, great use of rye. i wanted to save it for you man, but you said drink it fresh, and so i did. i will return the favor. much love.

The beer was alright, sipped over a meal at Worthy Burger. This is not one to seek out but worth trying "because it's a Lawson's."
