Poured from the 22 oz bottle into a snifter.
Pours a deep amber with a hint of red, half a finger of bubbly head.
Smells rich, some sweetness and strong malt character, some tanginess from the rye.
Tastes nice. Good full flavor from the rye, not a lot of hop presence though.
Mouthfeel was nice, not dry, definitely inviting.
I enjoyed the beer and it had good flavor, could benefit from more hops.

A couple of fingers of white foam make a beautiful counterpoint for the nearly clear amber beneath. Nice lace on the glass, and a lasting cap really hangs in for the ride.

Wow, a light to medium strength aroma full of goodness. Lemony citrus, some grainy tart and really nice light caramel, go with a hint of yeasty spice.

Much fuller flavored, starts with a hit of grainy, spice, and hop, tart, lemon and pith bitter, neutral sweet, and finally herbally bitter. Bit of lemon drop comes in, really rooty herbal comes in too, as it warms. Very dank and complex, visits the dark side of hop and rye here in such a good way.

Worst attribute. Very coating, some resiny buildup, first lemon drop, then the resiny rooty components of the hops, not as clean a presentation of flavors as one would hope, even a bit overcarbed. The flavors overcame this well enough to not totally demolish this beer here.

Enjoyed this, but can't really get down on a guy for being heavy handed with the hops, but I think Mr. Lawson did provide freely. He may have had LTS for this batch haha. Very Good, not Great.

Served from a bomber into a LA teku. Fresh.

Appearance- Slightly hazy amber/red with one finger of off-white head that left nice lacing.

Smell- Loads of piney hops and spicey rye notes. Light malt backbone but piney and earthy hops dominate this one.

Taste- Tons of peppery rye mix with super piney hops. Fruity malts light vanilla and coffee notes. Malts and hops balance each other nicely.

Mouthfeel- Well carbonated with a medium mouthfeel. Crisp and eay to drink.

Overall- A nice well-hopped pale with a lot of rye spice. A pleasure to drink.
