22oz bottle purchased at the Warren Store on 8-8-13. Poured into a Game Of Thrones tulip.
AP: Nice rich apricot colour, fluffy white 1" head which took some time to settle down to a 1/4". Decent lacing on the sides.
AR: Sweet aroma. This one smells juicy and lush. Vibrant aromas of tangerine, mango, pineapple, clementine, guava and passion fruit. The fruity scents are dominating and not much a malt presence is noticeable, though I get a very faint bit of cereal grains. I truly hope the taste is as lively as the nose.
T: Wonderful juicy fruity flavourful hops on the taste. I get more of the malt bill on the taste as well, a light bready flavour with a hint of caramel. It's just enough to give it structure. The citrus fruits are a bit more prominent in the flavour than the tropical fruits. A nice bit of blood orange rind in the finish with an herbal note like lavender. The fruity hops on this are lush and juicy, which is what I look for in a DIPA/IPA that stands out. Delicious.
M: Moderately carbonated, slightly creamy body, clean off dry finish and a lingering aftertaste. Very nice.
OV: Brilliant brew by Lawson's. I shared a bottle Monday night with a couple friends, which was the 3rd bottle we shared (first 2 beers were other breweries), thus didn't get the full effect of how truly good this beer is. Now that I'm having this bottle by myself without having any beers before it, everything in this beer shines through. Double Sunshine is an apt name for this beer as it's bright with flavours. Every sip makes you want another. So glad I have one more in my fridge.

I thought this beer would be more tropical. I think Lawson's has underwhelmed me on all the expectations I had for their beers.
A- Foggy non-transparent golden. Thick head with no retention.
S- Very mild tropical fruit, with more malty smell than anything.
T- Very sessionable, which is not a good thing when talking about a beer of such magnitude (though Pseudo Sue is sessionable too, but crushes this). Mild tropical fruits (mango, papaya, pineapple).
M- Medium to high grade on this. Thicker than most. Lots of carb follows.
O- I had expectations that this would be the best ever pale that I have had. It was way short of that. I could go shelf local and be just as satisfied. I will take one more look at this, as I just crushed a Godiva Dark Chocolate Bar that my have f*cked with my palate. I will seek out another bottle to look back on
