Bottle into 7venth Sun tulip
Double Sunshine pours a cloudy hazy light orange. It has a big three finger puffy white head that left soapy lacing all over the glass.
It smells amazingly of tropical fruits. Big and juicy aromas of pineapple, orange, and grapefruit. The grapefruit does hint at the impending bitterness but does not detract or dominate. Some bready and sweet maltiness comes through too making this even more complex.
Grapefruit is at the front of the tongue but the juicy citrus is not far behind. All aspects are in perfect balance. A little more bitter pine like at the back of the tongue but after all this is a DIPA, right?
Medium bodied and great creamy, sticky feel. A perfect level of carbonation on this only makes the feel that much better. This beer just goes down remarkably easy, especially for a DIPA.
Near perfection for a DIPA in my book at least for what I have tried so far. I could drink this every single day and love it each and every time. I would love to have regular access to this especially during the summer.
