Pours a hazy straw color, a touch of the orange you expect in big DIPA's, but noteably light in color. Nice creamy head!
The smell is divine! Powerful tropical fruits, some citrus, some pine, it's a complex and wonderful hop aroma.
Taste is outstanding, but not quite on par with the smell. Same flavor notes, but not quite as strong and a bit on the bitter side for my tastes.
Mouthfeel is great, though I think it could use a bit more body. Overall, this is clearly a world-class DIPA with few faults. If the bitterness could come down a bit, it would be one of my all-time favorites, but I'll still buy it every chance I get! And, thanks to Lawson's for keeping the price really reasonable!

Like most others, I have been seeking this beer for quite a long time, it wasn't until I made a recent trip up to Vermont that I stumbled upon it at a farmer's market. Anyways, on to the review...

A: Pours a foamy white head with mild head retention. The beer itself is a pseudo-cloudy light golden color with a fairly average stick.

S: Not as strong as I was hoping for, but offers an initial blast of citrus tones, strong grapefruit, pineapple with a bit of piney freshness.

T: Carries through with all aroma tones but offers a nice complexity overcoming its aroma, this thing is truly one delicious brew. You get that strong citrus flavor immediately followed by a nice malt tone. It manages to round itself out and end on a nice piney note. Amazing.

M: Soft, medium-bodied, moderately carbonated.

O: I came in with extremely high expectations of this beer, and honestly, it did not disappoint! I just wish it was a bit easier to find!

On tap at ACBF in Boston, MA out of a plastic tasting glass. Been looking forward to this one since they announced the line up and man it did not disappoint.

Beautiful yellow golden color that betrays the punch it packs.

Hops, hops hops! Bitter and pungent yet perfectly balanced, so piney and citrusey on the way down. Devastatingly light and drinkable considering the ABV, will seek this out next (and first) time I'm in VT. Well done Lawson's!!
