A - pours a crystal clear pale gold. Almost a perfect mixture of yellow and orange. Maybe a fingers worth of fizzy white foam sits on top. Thins out to a film very quickly.

S - nose is remincient to a thicket of pine needles. Woody, floral, and resinous notes add to the earthiness. There is a slight vegetal note sort of like a chili pepper? And of course lots of grapefruit rind and orange pulp.

T - crisp dough and sweet honey malt profile. Bright fruity hops with lots of citrus flavors and bitterness as well as a soft white grape flavor and zesty lemon pith. Finish is earthy with a lingering pine needle character and a touch of citric bitterness.

M - lighter side of medium bodied. Medium fizzy carbonation.

O - interesting beer. Definitely a different kind of IPA.

I love me some Kiwi hops, and I know Lawson's will do it justice, so I've been dying to try this beer. Thanks Pemmet!

Pours into my Hill farmstead stepped tulip, a nice delicate fluffy and creamy looking 1/2 finger head that fades fairly slowly, nice lacing, super hazy nectar orange colored beer.

Nose was wafting out as soon as I popped the cap, great kiwi hops, little tropical almost, grassy and earthy mostly, with a touch of a lemony straw, and a bit of a musty aroma. Under that is a hint of a nice malty sweet aroma, hint almost grainy, fluffy, barely there but enough to support the hops it seems.

Taste starts again with the kiwi hops, nice grassy and a bit earthy, of the terroir, quite juicy with a nice citrus slightly tropical, and musty resinous like fresh wet hops, quite nice. Fluffy slightly sweet malt in the middle, with a hint of booze, and enough to give the beer a nice backbone, hint of caramel and toasty, and a nice carbonation to fill it. The hops get a bit grassy and a light lemony hay but not much, juicy fresh hops really take teh show. A decent bitterness throughout, not overly bitter but definitely lets you know it's there. Finish is drier, nice big bitterness ramps up a bit as it dries, plenty of lingering kiwi hops, light musty resin fresh hops, and a bit more citrus and tropical fruit juice.

Mouth is nice too, super fluffy carbonation and decent med bodied, slightest hint of booze so the beer has a big feel to it overall.

Overall very nice, as I was expecting. Showcases the kiwi hops very well, very tasty and drinkable, despite 8% it goes down very smooth, with nice malt base to prop up the hops, good bitterness enough to let you know it's a nice big IPA, but not overpowering. Well done!

22 oz bottle courtesy of Kyle. Thank you very much for the Lawson's trifecta Kyle!

Lightly hazed golden yellow with some stringy lace.

Resinous, earthy, and nutty. A bit brighter than the Jade that was consumed just prior.

Nelson hops serve as a nice introductory hop here. Where the Jade's green onions were the evening's mc in the Jade IPA, they play second fiddle here. Evergreen and pineapple bat lead off and move into the green onion finish of the Jade. Where the previous beer was a bit one dimensional, the combination of hops here plays well. The brighter Nelson hops really serve to soften the blow of the aggressive Jade and the hops really do transition rather abruptly. You can easily determine where the Nelson hops seem to come to a crashing halt and the Jade pick up the slack.

Creamy and medium bodied: a nice feel.

Overall, this was my favorite of the three Lawson's beers we had tonight. Thank you Kyle!

Hearty pour with 2mm head which faded to virtually nothing within minutes. Light orange in color and medium translucency when held to light.

Distinctive smell which is hard to explain, floral overtones with a background chives or onions. Blending into a gasoline like aroma. Not my favorite.

Remarkably smooth with grape skin like taste immediately. Aftertaste sticks with you after about 4-5 drinks and is bitter but leaves me wanting more and more. Unlike any other IPA I have tasted.

Remarkably tasty and unique which warrants the high rating
