Lawsons Spring Fever IPA. Poured from a bottle into a whisky rocks glass.
A: Cloudy golden wheat color, but really good lacing and the head (big at first) settles to form a consistent layer on the top.
S: Pine and loads of hops swarm the nose, a very fresh scent.
T: Malty, not as many hops but some nice lemon and saison zest.
M: Some minor hop notes gives way to a lot of carbonation and the ending becomes a saison flavor.
O: For how low the ABV is this is really amazing. Its not a great example of a saison or an ipa but it stands by itself as a session able “fresh beer”.

Thanks, baconsausage!

A pretty IPA. Not quite clear golden yellows and oranges. Moderate off-white head. Lined, sticky lacing left down the glass.

Bright citrus notes in the aroma but the aroma really shines when agitated and swirled--more so than any beer in recent memory. This almost has a bright, juicy, orange juice and pulp aroma when swirled aggressively and let to agitate a bit. Excellent.

Fairly bitter and bready for a traditional Lawson's IPA, and given the ABV, this is probably more of a pale ale than anything else. Regardless, there's still nice, bright citrus notes, some resin, and a pleasant, drinkable bread character. Clean flavors.

Thinner-medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Fantastic low-ABV hoppy beer. The aroma is incredible.

Thanks to Kyle for this one. 22oz. bomber into a Founders snifter.

Pours a .5 finger foamy white head with moderate retention. Beer is a clear bright goldenrod. Lacing is web-like with good stick. Solid looking beer.

Nose is citrus, sap, pine, and a dank hop presence. Aromatic. Pretty good.

Opens citrus and lemon zest. Pine and sap hop bitterness towards the middle. More of the same at the end with a sticky, dry, bitter finish. Aftertaste of resiny hops. Nice.

Light bodied with moderate to ample carbonation. Prickly and light in the mouth and goes down dry and sappy. Finishes dry and sticky with a lingering aftertaste. Very drinkable. Appropriate.

Very appropriately named, this is one of the better sessionable beers out there. However, there's a certain lack of character in this one to make it stand out in style category littered with very good beers. Pretty good overall but not really worth revisiting.

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Clear golden orange. Nice white head. Good surface foam.

Smell - Piney grassy hops. Not much else. But it smells very good.

Taste - Again hop forward. Grass and pine. Just a bit of grainy malt. Simple, light, and good. Medium low bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Light, medium carbonation. Very drinkable.

Overall - Excellent light IPA. Hop forward with just enough malt. Lingering hop flavor is the only thing that bugs me.

New beer to me from Lawson's. Very low alcohol content 3.8, but still a very surprising amount of hop taste. It's a good beer, but not as good as the latest Lawson offering Ava or Heady Topper. This would be a great every day beer and a great Summer beer.

Pours a little cloudy, with a white finger of head with medium bubbles. Decent retention, small bits of lace. Aroma is floral, grassy, and herbal. Touches of soft sweetness In the back. Taste has a medium bitterness, and a continuation of the grassy, floral, earthy hop notes. Body is thin, which could be expected with such a low ABV and respective malt bill.

Pretty good ipa, and a pretty well done session ale.
