Originally on tap at CCB. Wasn't even going to try this since we got it in GA but glad I did.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown color with a khaki head that dissipates quickly.

Smell: Smells absolutely phenomenal. Pecans, vanilla, toffee, caramel, brown sugar, whipped cream, very sweet. Syrupy.

Taste - Taste starts off with pecans and goes into some vanilla, followed by a slight bitterness and ends with a sugary sweetness. Mirrors the nose.

Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel. Only complaint is that there's a very slight boozy/astrigent taste on the aftertaste but it's barely there.

Overall: One of the most interesting, unique, and best CCB beers I've had.

750mL bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 15.99. Bottled 12/3/13. Served in a Cigar City snifter.

Pours a deep, opaque dark ruby with about a half finger sandy hued head. The bubbles fade to a thin ring that leaves small clumps of lace.

Smells of toffee, vanilla, pecan and caramel. Nice.

Tastes amazing- like freakin pecan pie. Candied pecan, vanilla, toffee, caramel, faint chocolate, a little dark fruit and a nip of booze. A great blend of pecan, vanilla, the base dopplebock and occasional hints of buttered crust. Outstanding.

Smooth, medium full feel with subtle carbonation. Caramel and toffee with pecans and vanilla linger in the finish.

I'm quite happy that this collaboration between two of my favorite breweries really delivered. This was a well executed idea with some great choices all around from the unique base beer to the complementary special adjuncts. I'm glad I got to try this.

750ml in a CCB Snifter

A - Dark Ruby little head and lacing

S - Vanilla bean, caramel, pecan and brown sugar. Oh boy this gunna be gud.

T - It's pecan pie. They nailed it. Syrupy, nutty thick chewy goodness with just a kiss of booze.

M - Light and crisp like a Dopplebock should be.

O - Amazing. Everything and more you'd expect from the name/label/amazing brewers.
