Pours a deep, deep ruby with barely any head.
Sweet sweet aroma of nuts mixed with alcohol. Hints of grape.
This is like a monster doublebock. Maybe a quadruplebock? Sweet flavors of a doublebock, with nutty flavors to boot. Reminiscent of pecan pie, but it's not a sweet mess. Restrained, if such a thing is possible in a 10 percent beer.
Thick and syrupy body.
Overall a nice treat. Not a beer to drink every day, but then Terrapin and Cigar City didn't mean it to be one.
