Thanks a bunch Sonny. Happy to have this one pretty close to the Apple Brandy version, only a few weeks apart.
A- In CCB fashion, an insanely pitch black and motor oil thick beer fills up the pint glasses for our tasting group. A small light mocha tan head to about a finger but falls fairly quickly, not surprising considering double barrels. Small ring leaves some legs but they don't quite translate to lacing.
S- Reminds me quite a bit of the CA Brandy one but definitely some noticeable differences right away. The huge dark dried fruits are still quite prevalent from the Brandy barrel. Some Rum spice and obviously the huge base stout still rules all. Cinnamon, cocoa, roast grains, oak barrel and truffle dessert bomb.
T- Things really get quite wild here. The base, and the two barrels seem to find a crazy balance and complexity ensues. Rum comes to mind with a certain spiciness and nice oak. Super roast and decadent base beer with dark cocoa powder, milk chocolate, cinnamon and tons of burnt grains. The Brandy fruit bomb balances this all out and this really feels like biting into a super rich truffle. Last but not least is the chili peppers, they grow with time and add some spicy warmth and pepper flavor.
MF- Stupidly thick bodied with low to medium carbonation. Really fills up the palate and is super chewy. A nice warmth from both the chilis and alcohol lingers with roast bitterness and dark fruits forever.
Hot damn, I thought the CA Brandy version was great. This one seems to have more chili pepper, cinnamon and base roast with the added spicy rum. It all blends together amazingly and CCB should be proud of this brew, and good luck reproducing it.

Bottled shared by Jacob - thanks.
A: Pours an oily black with a 1/2" dark mocha head which fades slowly to the rim leaving spots of lace.
N: Dark cocoa, earthy, roast, rum and and a hint of sweet brandy.
T: Apple brandy and rum integrates very well, chilies and cocoa are also well balanced. The cinnamon is a little strong - minor issue and not a flaw.
N: Full body and light carbonation. Smooth , rich and luscious. Dark chocolate cake with peppery spice drizzled with rum and apple brandy icing.
O: Amazing. Just fantastic.
