We support local because we know that doing so makes a difference in sustainability as well as local economy. And also our local community is just rad. This beer is an IPA with Muscadine grapes. We pressed said grapes with friends in Plant City. This project came about out of a mutual respect between the band and the brewer. Alexander and the Grapes is an indie rock band from St. Petersburg Florida. They are releasing a 7” record to commemorate this collaboration. Live local music + Local craft beer = Good times. True Story. Tis the season.

Big thanks to Dopplebockulus for this one – Cheers Charley!
A: Dark caramel amber body with a murky reddish-brown tone throughout. Visible bubble action along the glasses edge. Produces a nicely thick khaki cap of suds that holds over for a few short moments. Light etchings and specks of sticky lace are left clinging to the empty glass.
S: Pressed concord grape juice with candied nuts and spices. Has a light caramel malt sweetness throughout. Not like any IPA I have come across that is for sure. Sweet malts with red grape juice and earthy spices.
T: The flavors carry through a mild red grape juiciness that actually works well with the rest of the brew. I get lots of caramelized sugars, toasted nut, and bready cracker malts at the foundation billed with a progressive earthy spiced hop bitterness. Tangy dark stone fruit and that red grape layered in. Has a nice resinous hop bite yet everything comes together smoothly and balanced with little alcohol showcased. Quite the unique experience.
M: Moderately to heavier filling malt base with a some fair amounts of carbonation it seems. Keeps rather smooth and sleek on the tongue however with a mild hop bite and decent drying effort in the finish. Slightly resinous but fairly clean and balanced overall.
D: This is very different and I have a hard time calling it a DIPA yet it actually comes together quite nicely. Didn’t know what to expect here but CCB did a good job with this. Really fun to try out but not something you would ever go chasing trucks over.
