This was brewed for the brewpub's "Fruit in the Room" event held on 1/28/14. Cans were available to go at the brewpub.

The color is dark brown with a very dark red hue in the body. A medium-brown head develops to one finger's height, keeps itself up, and remains for the entire session half a finger of creamy, thick foam that leaves behind patchy lacing.
Cherries pour out of the nose, mainly sweet with a light tartness, completely fresh and juicy. It's supported by deep, breadier malts and a faint note of alcohol.
The cherries tingle the tongue with flavor as well with a backbone of malts with strong notes of dark breads, almost like cherry juice was mixed in with the dough of a multigrain bread having a dense texture and high grain content before baking.
Carbonation is moderate in a medium body, and a pretty deep one at that. From beginning to end, the feel is gently crisp and very creamy.

12oz can. No canning date. Poured into a red Cigar City snifter 7/15/2014.

A- Dark brown body, surprisingly darker than expected. Comes with a two finger mocha head that retains quite well, falling eventually into a thick foam that persists for quite a while. Rings of lacing. Pretty surprising for a wheat wine, I'd say.

S- Faint cherry sweetness mixed in with a lot of toffee and caramel. Not much more than this. It's a fairly strong nose, though with what it does have. The wheatwine base is quite sweet while the cherry flavours impart a slight tartness with fruity sweetness.

F- Initial kick of cherry puree that quickly transitions to a malty sweet toffee flavour, complemented by caramel and hints of spices. Interesting, quite intense. I suspect that if I enjoyed maltier styles of beer, I'd like this one more than I do now. Its not quite chocolate covered cherries, but it's maybe halfway there.

M- Problematic. Thinner bodied though with fine carbonation. This beer has quite a bit of heat on the backend that makes it a sipper and also makes it fairly difficult to get through the entire can on your own. No surprise, but this really isn't all that drinkable.

O- Interesting and unique concept but it just didn't execute that well for me. Booziness and heat takes a lot from the sweet, malty wheatwine base and the slightly tart and fruity sweet cherry addition.

Pour is very dark cola brown with lots of fairly tight tan head. Nose has a strong malt presence mixed with booziness and some plastic like cherry. Lots of sugar, brown sugar, caramel, in the nose. Taste is worse, malt gets a bit acrid and messy, sugars abound, loads of plastic and sugary cherry flavoring. Thin body, moderate carbonation, lingering acrid bitterness.
