Reviewed from notes. Poured from bomber into a Cigar City pint glass.

A: Hazy pale gold, with a thin white head and fairly low levels of visible carbonation.

S: Low aroma overall - a bit grainy, husky wheat, mild fruity sweetness and a touch of tartness. Not much else.

T: Bright mandarin oranges and tangerines, wheat with less husk character than the smell suggested. Mildly sour - more just a light fruity tartness, but still mild. Unfortunately, the tart, dry, and orange characters combine to give the impression of Bayer's children's aspirin. A moderate lactic tartness with orange flavors last into the hang.

M: Light body, average carbonation sensation, low alcohol presence.

O: Far from the best so-called Florida Weisse, but nicely drinkable. The orange flavors were not unpleasant but had an artificial undertone I could have done without. Worth trying, but not anything outstanding.

I really enjoyed this one. Had it on tap at the brewery and found myself wishing that i could get a growler or some cans of it. Tart and refreshing with plenty of tangerine in the smell and taste. I would drink this any day, especially while vacationiing in Florida. Delicious.

Let me precurse this review by saying I was very excited to try this. I heard nothing but positive things despite the difficulty in its acquisition. Poured from a bomber into a tulip, the brew appears a pale yellow color with a white froth slightly more impressive and retaining than your typical berliner.

The aroma contains some cereal graininess overall but it wraps things up there and doesnt display any more of the typical berliner charcter or adjuncts described. It is very muted, nothing bad smelling mind you...just without character even by berliner standards let alone a "floridian" version.

The taste is strikingly weird. A bit of dawn dish soap meets fresh cereal grain sweetness and ahhh there it is, a very minor lemony citrus aspect. The flavor wraps things up with a touch of watered down greek yogurt. But why the soapiness?

This is a light bodied brew with modest carbonation. The brew looks and feels good. However, the aroma is lacking and taste seems a bit off. I really question what went wrong with this, it cant possibly be what they were shooting for.

On tap at the 2014 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest held at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, CA.

Pours a murky light whitish-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, grain, citrus fruit, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with sour citrus fruit and acidic flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty, refreshing, and easy to drink.

Fifth & last bottle from the CC anniversary series, picked up during our Huna Day visit to same. 22 oz. bottle split with my wife.

The pour is light yellow to the extreme, bordering on white wine, with a dimpling of carbonation. Nose is refreshing, with plenty of citrus & light acidity. Nice start.

5 Beers for 5 Years - Florida Weisse makes my scrotum pucker...in a really good way. Light tartness flows into my oral cavity & spikes my serotonin. Gentle fruits set off the acidity, citrus comes on stronger in the mid-palate. Finishes with a bit or orange & lemon, but that refreshing tart character flows through every drop of the beer. I could drink this during my morning constitutional every day.

This is a wonderfully crafted Berliner & the fruit just adds a lovely touch. If this were readily available in cans or bottles, this would be a summer staple. Simple, direct, excellent.

Pours a hazy straw color with two fingers thick bright white fizzy head. Disappears with nothing left on the glass. Standard. Smell: lactic, mound of warm orange flesh and peel, sour snappiness. Taste: tangerine juice, bitter orange peel, into mild doughiness and lactic + acidic citrus finish. There's something dialed in and distinct about the citrus components, and also it's pretty tasty. Nice!
