12 ounce can - canned 3-14-14 - nice, in the can less then a month...

Pours glowing reddish almond amber, lightly hazed. Moderate and relaxed lite oatmeal head, leaves nice lookin fine fields of tiny bubble low sheeting.

Tropical fruity nose with some pine hop notes.

This IPA packs more then a moderate hop package. Robust, fresh and muscular tropical fruit and resinous hop notes abound. Densely hopped right through the finish. Tasty IPA in a can....always a good thing...

12 oz can poured into a snifter. Canned 3/14/14 (a little over 1 month old)

Pours out a nice bright orange color, mostly clear body, maybe the slightest bit of haze. A nice retentive slightly off white head. Very nice lacing clings to the glass.

Not a very exciting aroma. Bright citrus grapefruit rind with a touch of bright tropical fruit. Some bready malts noticeable.

Tart and tangy hop, sharp tropical fruit somewhat similar to pineapple and kiwi, bright citrus character, finishes with a grapefruit citrus rind bitterness. Almost a slight woodiness as it warms.

Medium to light in body. Goes down easy. Leaves a bit of a lingering hop bitterness.

Not a bad beer, but it left a little to be desired. I'd be interested to try other versions of this, but I probably wouldn't buy this one again. Worth a shot if you've never had it. Has a kind of unique tart, tangy hop.

12 oz. can poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep orange body. Small white head. Nice lacing.

Smell - Not a very intense smell. Some grapefruit citrus. Orange. A bit of doughy malt sweetness. Toasty malts, too.

Taste - Grapefruit. Slightly musty. Sweet caramel. Toasted malt. Seems a deeper roasted malt profile than other variants. Grassy bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Bitter. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall - Decent, but doesn't stand out against the other variants.
