Captain was brewed with a blend of Galaxy, Citra, Simcoe, Topaz, Chinook, Cascade and Columbus hops. Tim also added in plenty of rosemary.

Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a 12 oz. can into an Upland pint glass.
A: Deep gold and mildly hazy. A thin white head forms and fades just as quickly. Average visible carbonation.
S: Fresh ginger, Christmas potpourri, rosemary up front. Some cracker malts, resin and flowery hops.
T: Citrus and resin hops, rosemary and ginger, and cracker malts. A light bitterness at the end.
M: Medium body for an IPA. Good carbonation sensation and low alcohol presence.
O: The rosemary and other spices (I kept getting ginger, but that's not listed on the label) dominate here. Unfortunately, they end up obfuscating, rather than complimenting, what (I think) would have otherwise been a pretty solid IPA. Not my cup of tea at all.

big citrus peel and rosemary aroma. Taste dominated by rosemary unfortunately, with a little grapefruit peel, honey, tropical note. Other than being an herbal bomb it's pretty nice.

This was the first below average beer I have had from Cigar City. Overly bitter, with a strange flavour that I could not pin point. Lacked aroma and lacked flavour. Tasted like a bad homebrew IPA.

Didn't seem to be very fresh. Instantly forgettable.

I still can't figure out the connection between Cigar City and SBC. Awesome collaboration though!

A: The beer is very hazy and dark amber orange in color. It poured with a finger high dense off white head that died down, consistently leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing running down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of basil, marigolds, and rosemary are present in the nose.
T: Just like the smell, the beer tastes like you are eating fresh herbs such as basil and rosemary. I don't get any flavors from the hops, which only contribute a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With all of the garden herb aromas and flavors, this beer is quite interesting. I think it would make for a good selection to pair with light Italian food, such as a pasta dish.

12 oz can, with "Canned" dating..2/5/15
Pours slightly clouded, lighter amber. Supports a larger fluffy head, that stays nicely and leaves better than average ringed lacing.
Earthy/musty nose and yes I do get some herbal (rosemary like) spicing.
Flavorful and hopped up brew, citrus, and again herbal spice coming forward.
Nice addition (hopefully a year round one) to the CCB line
