Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a Cycle Brewing goblet.

A: Pours a hazy, glowing orangey gold. Fairly low visible carbonation, and a thin white head that fades quickly.

S: Big, funky Lactobacillus, apricots, and lactic tartness. Moderate horse blanket and barnyard funk. Nice fruit and funk balance here.

T: Lactic tart and dry, with dried apricot fruitiness. Barnyard musty funk from the Lacto over the pale cracker malts. A nice depth and texture to the sour and funk profiles. A dry finish with lingering fruitiness. I'm not getting any graininess from the malts that plagues some (most?) of the beers from CCB's sour program.

M: Average heft to the body, with good carbonation sensation. The alcohol presence is very low.

O: Really an excellent sour. Not the best sour ever perhaps, but (without checking my ratings) I think better than Guava Grove (and I think all the other Lactobacillus Grove series) at least.

The sourness on this is on point. Just the right amount of tongue stinging sourness but that's where the positives end. On the nose and on the aftertaste is all diacetyl.
