Reviewed from notes. Described at the brewery as being brewed with Citra and Simcoe hops. Had on-tap at Cigar City tasting room. Served in a Spiegelau IPA glass.
A: Darkish amber in color and fairly clear. Forms a finger’s worth of white fluffy head with visible carbonation levels on the low side.
S: Tropical and dank hops, lightly toasted biscuit malts, and lighter notes of citrus and resin.
T: Crisp citrus and lemon rind, tropical fruit and passionfruit, sticky resin. Some toasted malts add a touch of sweetness, and as that fades the grapefruit bitterness comes through. Pretty nice flavors.
M: Light-bodied, with a good amount of carbonation sensation. Low alcohol presence, and seems like an easy drinker.
O: Tasty. Maybe not as good as their Moongun brew, but tasty.
