S: Roasted malt, little dark unsweetened chocolate. Not all that sweet. This stout is all business.
A; Very black. Little brn head, decent lace.
T: Same as smell, little sweetness, toffee, some warming etoh presence, but not overwhelming.
M/D: Fairly thick w/good carbonation. Drinkability is pretty good for an IS.
Overall: Good but not amazing. The reason I have to give this stout serious props is because it is basically the base recipe for all their stouts, some of which are mind-blowing. Marshal Z is the backbone of this operation. He does the heavy lifting for cigar city I believe.
