2011 vintage (I think, old label). Poured from a 750 ml bottle into a Pipeworks snifter.
A- pours pitch black with a 3" dark cola head. Big trails and giraffe print of lacing remains on the glass, half finger of head remains as well.
S- sweet maple syrup, chocolate, roast, anise and some dark fruits.
T- sweet chocolate, maple syrup, anise, sweet dark fruits, roast and some ash.
M- full body and medium carbonation. Big thick feel, creamy and smooth.
O- better than I expected from what I have heard about MZ. ,anyone the age mellowed the sweetness some, even though it is still very sweet for the style.
