Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Russian River pint glass. NOTE: This is bottle from the new batch, which came out at an ABV of 7.0% per CCB information.
A: Bright gold, clear, with medium levels of visible carbonation and a fairly thin white head.
S: Pilsner malts, mild hop bitterness, yeast esters and light sulfur aroma.
T: Light cracker and pilsner malts, some noble hop bitterness, and some lemony yeast esters and bits of coriander. Light bittersweet on the finish.
M: Light body, carbonation sensation on the low side. Alcohol well-hidden despite the hefty ABV for style.
O: This isn't bad, although it fails to excite the palate much. Still, an easy-drinking summer beer for the warm Florida summers.

always going to be hard to impress me with an american pilsener, but this one does an awfully good job. its a little bigger than most, not trying to be lady beer in the summer time, its fully happy carrying a little more malt along for the ride, hopping the doors off it with good noble hops, and lingering around a bit longer in the finish. clean for a cigar city brew, almost perfectly clear sunshine colored pour with less than an inch of patient foam. smells a little sweeter like some slightly darker malt in the grain bill, and its definitely well hopped for the style. the picture on the label describes the taste perfectly. a gentleman well dressed relaxing in the shade on what appears to be a very hot humid florida day. one sip takes me there, right to his flank, beer in hand, hat on head, stinking of sweat and sun block, this beer is a summer session brew, but at some 6% abv, it drinks manly, and it has a little more heft to the body than most (or all) pils beers out there. its robust for the style, bold, but still refreshing. bubbly and quaffable, yeah i said it.

At the brewery on tap. Pours clear golden. Aroma is hay, straw, sweet malt. Flavor is hay and honey with a crisp clean finish. Easy drinking and very light. A great summer boat beer. Usually not a huge pils fan but this is nice, and at 7% I am impressed. with the flavor in this, yet the high drinkability. I could drink this all day long.
