On draft in Tampa into a standard pint glass.
A: deep honey/orange with a nice head, solid lacing, and carbonation
S: not as aromatic as my favorite IPAs, but nice. Aromas of pine, floral, and citrus. I smell a little simcoe but not overwhelming
T: a pretty balanced IPA. Citrus hops flavors complimented with caramel malt flavor. Nice bitterness but the hops flavors just don't explode quite as much as I tend to like. A bit of a buttery flavor which is difficult (luckily) to hone in on due to giving way to the bitterness.
M: Nice. Not too thin or watery but not too chewy to give up any refreshment. Prickly carbonation accentuates the bitterness nicely.
D: Very drinkable, a fine beer, just not my favorite.
Serving type: on-tap

This beer is about the only reason I would go back to Florida...
I know the true characteristic of a beer is realized after it has been decanted but Jai Alai is great straight out of the can. Refreshing and well balanced hop profile with a clean crisp finish. Does not linger on the tongue and only leaves you wanting to go back for another sip. Even when poured the beer exhibits a beautiful color and wonderful citrus (orange peel) aroma. A great tight head that lingers on the edge of the class tells me that someone has taken their time to get it right.
