IMO merely OK. Too sweet. Not very distinctive hop flavor.

Thank you Cyrushire! Canned 08/08/14.
I started off sipping it out of the can and then figured uh...would I ever see this again? I have no clue.
Better pour it in a vessel and chose a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking glazed over amber to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving a nice foamy lacing.
The smell had a real dark sweet caramel up front first and then after a slight bit of warming balanced out to the citrusy sweet bitter pine notes.
The taste took those flavors and combined nicely to season my taste buds in a sweet yet slightly nice spicy fashion.
The mouthfeel wasn't too sharp but for an AIPA it did add a fairly nice smooth creamy caramel-ness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, this was a wonderful AIPA that I would love to have again.

12oz can poured into an IPA glass. Canned on date puts it right at the two month mark.

A: Orange in color. Some small particles in suspension. Fine bubbled off-white head retains at a solid two fingers. Sticky webs of lacing.

S: juicy and vibrant tropical fruits abound. Pineapple, tangerine, clementine, mango, cantaloupe, and more. Some, spicy, leafy, and slightly earthy hop undertones too. The malt base comes through now and again with scents of shortbread, runny light caramel, and orange blossom honey.

T: Tangerine, clementine, pineapple, mango, blood orange, passion fruit, lemon. Bitterness is gentle at the outset, allowing all the juicy tropical flavors to really explode on the palate. As things progress, the hops begin to show a more leafy, earthy, and slightly spicy dimension, and the bitterness builds to firm, gripping levels. Malty caramel flavors anchor the hops. Bitter, leafy, and spicy hop finish.

M: Medium bodied. Creamy and slick. It glides easily over the tongue with a light whipped feel.

O: This should be on everyone's short list of IPAs to try before they die. It really doesn't get much better than this.

Drank from a can
Canned 06/10/14
Served in a pint glass
Thanks to muzzy for including this as an extra in our trade.

A two-finger tall, off-white plume of meringue-like froth topped the slightly hazed, medium amber liquid. Tiny brown specs sat atop the craggily mass. Perhaps this was the conditioning yeast. Nice lasting strength on the head. Streaks of sticky lacing dripped down the glass. As the beer warmed, the chill haze dropped to reveal a nearly clear body.

The nose was hoppy and noticeably sweet. Super citrusy. Candied orange peel dominated. A rich caramel malt base lent a hefty amount of sweetness. There was an almost a brown sugar-like presence. Dried apricots were noticeable. Earthy hop notes were also detectible. Slightly grassiness as well.

Like the aroma, the flavor profile was nicely balanced between citrusy hop notes and a robust caramel malt sweetness. Lots of candied orange peel. Good amount of peach and apricot. Touch of mango. Notes of white grapefruit came through on the back end. The beer finished with a blast of resiny pine sap and grapefruit pith.

The mouthfeel was exceptionally soft and rather creamy. Fluffy and lighter bodied for the style. The liquid contained a super fine and mild effervescence.

With an intense citrusy hop profile and a hefty caramel malt base, this IPA reminds me of a beer that people would have flipped out over in the early 2000s. Even today, it is pretty solid. With its balanced flavor profile and lighter mouthfeel, I could definitely imagine myself drinking this all day long on a hot summer day.
