12oz can into a pint glass.
Pours a hazy, dirty orange with a one finger thick white head. Great head retention with nearly solid lacin all the way around.
Orange, tangerine, pineapple, and pine burst from the top of the glass. Just amazing punch of hoppy goodnees out of this beer. Tropical fruit really dominates but there is that light touch of pine. Not really any malt that I can pick up.
More juicy hops in the flavor. Very citrusy and there is a touch of caramel malt I can pick up on. There is a slight tartness but it really compliments everything more than detracts. Very high bitterness that lingers on the tongue long after the finish. Nice thick mouthfeel and body that doesn't get too sweet.
Overall, a truly world class IPA. There is just so much hop aroma and flavor here but it still stays in balance somewhow. A great beer that I wish I could get all the time.

Poured from a can, dated 10/3/13, into a Dogfish Head tulip. A dim, hazy, well carbonated orange-red color fills the glass. Splotchy lacing sticks to the sides with a frothy white head that receded to a thin ring. Dipping my nose into the glass reveals a huge citrus-forward aroma of oranges, grapefruit, and pleasant pine scent. It's nothing that you haven't smelled before in an IPA, just balanced perfectly to make you smile. The flavors mirror the smell with more pine on the finish. Medium-bodied and a little more viscous that I anticipated, but not in a bad way. This is very well-made juice and I hope that one day Cigar City makes it to VA. With this one being my first, I can guarantee it won't be my last. Cheers!

Great beer! Stands up to its reputation.
Poured from a can into a tulip glass.
A: A dark, hazy orange color. One inch head that holds up nicely.
S: Bitter piney notes, with orange and grapefruit citrus balance.
T: Hops aplenty. Deliciously bitter on the front, the hops hold up and through the citrus backend to balance the brew nicely.
M: Medium carbonation. Thick and delicious.
O: This is a great beer that makes me wish I lived in Florida. Well done offering from Cigar City.
