Poured from a 12 oz can into a stemmed tulip. This was canned August 13, 2013 which is just over a month ago.
Appearance: Pours a copper/dark amber and leaves a hefty two-fingered off-white head which fades to just a layer atop the beer.
Smell: Dank pine, light tropical notes, malts. From the smell, this seems like a rather balanced IPA, moreso than a "hop-bomb" might be.
Taste: Matches the smell pretty well. Very well balanced IPA. Pine, resin, light tropical notes, caramel, malts. Very drinkable yet with lots of flavor. Nice smooth finish.
Mouth-feel: Rather low carbonation with a medium, creamy body.
Overall: This is a well crafted, really well balanced IPA. Plenty of hop flavors but with enough malt backbone to keep it easy going. Definitely a nice beer to drink a lot of on a lazy day.
