12 oz bottle poured into a Hill Farmstead chalice.

Hazy orange body with a finger or two of thick white head.

Nose is crisp and clean citrus. Grapefruit, mango, yum.

Flavor is sharp, intense hoppiness without all the baggage of a solid malt body. Just a tart, quenching blast of crisp citrus hops. Plenty of the grapefruity-ness that I look for in my favorite IPAs makes this an instant favorite.

Mouthfeel is tart, stripping, even a little chewy. Carbonation is moderate.

Overall is outstanding. Very high drinkability. ABV is not really evident, drinks like a 6% IPA. Wish this were local, I love this beer!

Pours a very clear light amber with a good amount of head and really impressive lacing.

It smells like a big glass of citrusy, fruity hops. Rather sweet, pineapple and/or mango. A bit grassy, not the big danky hop type.

The initial taste comes across as the nose would indicate, pretty sweet, smooth and tasty. A real strong bitterness midway through followed by a lingering fruity yet smokey note. The malt towards the back keeps this one pretty balanced.

Mouthfeel is rather medium bodied. Good carbonation and a real dry, crisp finish.

Overall, I really enjoy this one. There's a lot going on with this one. The hops come through big but there's a lot of malt to back it up. There's also enough of a booze presence to indicate that this is getting close to imperial territory. Really great IPA. If only it was distributed in MN!

got this in a beer trade through reddit. gave up 2 bottles of pliny the elder and received 4 grolsch bottles full of jai alai poured from a tap in Alabama.

A - clear amber in color, good amount of head which is making some extreme amounts of lacing occur. this beer looks beautiful.

S - toasty, pine, floral and bitter hops

T - a very sweet ipa - the smell totally threw me off, i'm getting hints of caramel, sweet hops, SLIGHT earth tastes - this beer definitely deserves the highest ranking, hands down.

M - crisp, refreshing, perfectly balanced makes this easy to drink.

O - this is overall quite possibly the most perfect beer i've ever had. i wanted to see if it was mostly just hype (was a little disappointed with pliny the elder), but now i know this beer deserves the recognition.

A - Hazy copper and gold in color with a one finger slightly creamy offwhite head and some small bubbles coming to the top, pretty beer.

S - Smell is mostly of citrus hops with a touch of floral and some biscuity malt smells.

T - Yum yum hops with flavors of tangerine, grapefruit in the forefront with some floral/herbal notes in the background. There is also a slightly sweet and biscuity malt backbone that is very nice and balances it out. Tad bit bitter on the end but not harsh at all.

M - Medium to light body with moderate carbonation.

O - A terrific IPA that is good year round, pick it up if you see it.
