Poured from a 750ml bottle into a DFH bulbous kind of glass. Seved at about 50F. Emerges slightly hazed and somewhat amber in color. Topped with a nice, large white head that is three fingers thick. Great retention with lacing that leaves a sticky veil among the sides of the glass.
Aroma is very saison like. Spicy and peppery with chalkiness. I dont really smell any guava, ar much of any fruits for that matter. Hugely yeasty with some belgian characteristics.
Although there was no fruit in the aroma, there is quite a bit of fruitiness in the flavor profile. Guava is present, as well as peach and mango; very tropical. More od the spiciness with white pepper and corriander on the tongue. Quite complex as the beer warms closer to room temperature.
A solid saison by any means. I like the bit of tropical fruitiness in this one. This style can. Get spicy and very dry and this one is less so. Still dry, clean finish, with a medium body and great carbonation. I definitely liked this one.

A phenomenally bubbly rush of snappy straw colored soapy head. Cloudy orange-red brew. Not overly appetizing. Lacing is weak.
Tart, lemon-lime, horsey aroma, clove. Strong. Of course, Guava too. Slightly too much funk.
Nicely bitter and smooth. Much more rounded than the appearance shows. Heavy effervescents. Sweetness is spot on and translates fruit nicely. Lots of dry, earthy, ripe, bitter, guava, clove, spice, and smooth light dry sour factor. Sourness is not over the top it's greatly dulled by heavy bitter bite.
A very unique beer. It's close to what I thought it would be and it didn't let me down. A nice risky take by CCB. Solid and worthy. I wouldn't give up much in trade, but still worthy.
