Closet aged for a year - about the best I can do.

A - cloudy orange, nice head, little lacing

S - pumpkin pie, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, fruity, sweet

T - follows the nose, cinnamon first, allspice next, followed by some fruit and caramel, and just enough bitterness to not be sweet

M - creamy, buttery, quite rich

O - its pumpkin beer - not my first choice - but this is well done and delivers what I would expect from a fall / pumpkin pie inspired beer

When I first had a fresh bottle of this I thought the alcohol interfered with the beer - 13 months of age did wonders.

Bomber to tulip-pint (thanks to MinorThreat for this in a trade)

A - deep amber/brown in color; nice off-white foam head; some light lacing

S - pumpkin, toffee, burnt sugar; has some really nice malt notes cinnamon and sugar

T - damn fine pumpkin pie is what this tastes like; allspice, nutmeg; really caramel-heavy; brown sugar; maple syrup; not too sweet but caramel maltiness; some molasses

M - this beer is smooth; it's sweetness is there but not at all cloying; medium-bodied; really lightly carbonated; balanced

O - I seem to be one of a few who really love pumpkin beers; this is a phenomenal representation of this beer style/flavor; the sweetness is there but not at all overwhelmingly so; I almost don't taste any booziness...that says something at 8.5%; to me, this is a perfect fall offering

Appearance: Pours a hazy amber-pumpkin color with a respectable head that leaves a few shards of lacing behind

Smell: Freshly-baked pumpkin pie aromatics - more spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and crust than pumpkin itself

Taste: Spices galore from the get-go, with the cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and clove most pronounced; biscuity malt, underneath and a bit of pumpkin flavor, as well; overall, the spicing is very nice, though the clove is just a bit too pronounced in the finish, lending a slightly harsh character

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A very nice, spice-forward example of the style; I would modulate the clove a bit but otherwise this is a very nice beer

Thanks, voxomkid, for the opportunity

A - Pours with a healthy head of off white foam on top of a hazy, amber brown body. The head settles at a moderate lace and leaves decent lace on the glass,

S - Brown, malty notes of toffee with lots of spices, including allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove.

T - Bready malt notes up front with some brown sugar. A bit of cinnamon and allspice in the middle. Finishes with clove, more dark sugar, and lightly herbal hops.

M - Medium thick body, moderately low carbonation, and a somewhat sweet finish.

D - Not bad, but I don't think it lives up to what some have said about it. Despite CCs penchant for high end spices, the pie character here is kind of bland and flabby with a malt character that only serves to reinforce that impression. I had this beer when it first came out and remember it being less sweet and spicy with more hops in the balance, but it has been so long that I might be misremembering it at this point.

A: no head to speak of on a murky brown with a marroon tinge. no lacing really.

S: lots of cinnamon, spices, pumpkin pie, nutmeg.

T: wow, this one has all of the flavors of the season without being too sweet. fresh pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar and maple wood.

M: medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall: one of the best of this genre and style. Very flavorful, each flavor is well represented and distinct. a must try.

Presentation: 750 mL bottle chilled and poured into my Kate the Great tulip glass. Huge thanks to cfrances33 for this bottle.

Appearance: Medium brown in color with a slight one finger head. Decent retention, but eventually turns into a minimal lacing.

Aroma: Really interesting spice note upfront. Cinnnamon, clove, allspice and nutmeg all stand out. Some pumpkin and molasses tones complement the spice. I think the allspice note really seperates this from other pumpkin beers.

Taste: Again, big pumpkin pie spices dominate. Tons of bright allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove all contribute. Manages to stay interesting and bright throughout. The spice tone is completely unique and intriguing. Brown sugar and molasses sweetness matches well with the pumpkin to create a really nice background. Really drinkable for the ABV.

Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied. Lower than average carbonation.A bit syrupy.

Overall, a really unique, interesting and complex take on the pumpkin beer style. The spice note is one of a kind and doesn't overwhelm the base beer. One of my new favorites of this style. Definitely want to try this again. Balanced, smooth and complex.

22oz bottle thanks to johnyb. Poured into CCB snifter. Enjoyed as my Halloween beer!

A- Pours a orange reddish brown with a thin layer of yellowish brown head that quickly subsides to leave no head at all. Decent carbonation with consistently rising carbonation bubbles. Not much in terms of lacing.

S- Pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and some other spices. Very nicely balanced without any spices dominating too much which I hate in a lot of pumpkin beers. About average aroma strength.

T- Nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin and some more cinnamon on the finish that lingers for a little bit. Nice flavorful balance between everything, if anything the cinnamon dominates a little bit, but not in a bad way (there's a lot of cinnamon beers I can't stand).

M- Fairly thin, nice carbonation, very easy to drink.

O- This was a fantastic pumpkin ale. Easily one of the best I've had. Pumpkin ales are not easy to master- a lot of breweries don't get enough pumpkin to come out and some overspice. CCB did a great job in creating this pumpkin ale and I highly recommend trying it out.
