I was really looking forward to trying this beer at the Cock & Bull Pub's Cigar City night.
It's black, of course, with a foamy dark brown head.
It smells of chocolate and coffee.
The taste is very chocolaty. With the creamy body it's very much like a beer-chocolate milkshake. But that's not all. There is also a nice chili spice. It's not hot; instead the beer has just a twang of heat. Very good. There is no hint of the high alcohol level, so beware.
The body is super-creamy. It's the creamiest beer I can remember.
An excellent beer. It's one of Cigar City's best, and that's saying a lot.
Serving type: on-tap
