750ml bottle poured into Spiegelau tulip.
A: Pours inky black with a finger of mocha-brown head.
S: Roasted coffee, molasses, vanilla, caramel, black licorice, and some booze.
T: Follows the nose. Roasted coffee, cinnamon, black licorice, molasses, vanilla, and a slight underlying tartness. Moderately sweet and smokey.
M: A nice thick, sticky body with almost no carbonation. Coats the mouth.
O: Nothing short of incredible. Could possibly be the best non-BA stout I've had. Great all around complexity and the sweetness is just perfect. The cinnamon is a nice addition, but I didn't notice any chile pepper. Overall very drinkable for a big stout.
