A: Medium brown with significant haze. Good creamy head fades quickly to a thin layer of foam that lasts fairly well.
S: Rich, chocolatey, roasty. Darker malt character than most brown ales, almost stout-like. Very low Earthy hop aroma. Little fruitiness.
T: Similar to smell. Rich and roasty. Again, darker malt character than many brown ales, almost like a stout. Bitterness is subdued, but enough to balance the rich malt.
MF: Medium-full bodied, with average carbonation. Creamy and smooth.
D: Excellent as a nightcap on a cool evening. I wouldn't want to pound a bunch of these, but very drinkable in the right setting.
A rather extravagant brown ale.

12oz can. Canned 6/5/2014. Served in a tumbler
Appearance: Pours a dark brown color with 1 finger of a soapy light tan head that dissipates quickly. Body is dark with small amounts of light visible around the edges of the glass.
Smell: Chocolate, toffee, bready malt, nuts, slight coffee as well.
Taste: Sweet malt, chocolate, slight roastiness, earth and very mild coffee presence.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and medium levels of fine carbonation. Semi sweet finish.
Overall: Really nice malty brown ale. Tasty and easy to drink.
