A very big "Thank you!" to output01x for this beer, and several of my latest reviewed beers as well.
I poured this one a little over zealously and got over two fingers of light tan head that started out fizzy and ended foamy. The retention on this baby was really good, and a decent attempt at lacing was noted. The body was a nice deep mahogany brown.
Delicious malt and banana are the first aromas noted. A little toffee and coffee and an ever so slight grassiness help round out the nose.
Malt is the first noted flavor. Then banana comes out to say "hi!" and finally a bit of caramel and coffee top it off.
Medium bodied is the name of the game. It isn't sticky, doesn't leave a film and isn't particularly drying. When a sip is taken, it flows very smoothly, allowing you to get the flavors and refreshes, washing down clean.

12 ounce can purchased at the local grocery.
A: Very nice reddish brown with a 1and a half finger head with moderate dissipation.
S: Chocolate, coffee and malt. Outstanding.
T: Same as the smell. Very good.
M: About what I generally expect from a brown. Maybe a tad light.
O: Simply a great ale, brown or otherwise.
