I picked up a second bottle of this from Hawthornes in Philly. It was mostly the same as my first one, but I enjoyed the smell and taste a bit more this time.
A: Clear dark brown with moderate carbonation. One-finger, frothy, tan head that lasted a few minutes. Not much lacing.
S: Toasted and nutty. A bit of a fruity character. Smells good.
T: Moderate sweetness and a touch of earthy hop bitterness. Very nice nutty aftertaste. The finish lasted.
M: Medium to full and creamy. Lively carbonation. Very nice.
O: I liked this one. The nutty aftertaste was especially nice. Will drink again.

12oz can. Canned 6/5/2014. Served in a tumbler
Appearance: Pours a dark brown color with 1 finger of a soapy light tan head that dissipates quickly. Body is dark with small amounts of light visible around the edges of the glass.
Smell: Chocolate, toffee, bready malt, nuts, slight coffee as well.
Taste: Sweet malt, chocolate, slight roastiness, earth and very mild coffee presence.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and medium levels of fine carbonation. Semi sweet finish.
Overall: Really nice malty brown ale. Tasty and easy to drink.
