12 oz. can poured into a Duvel tulip (canned on 6/11/13)
A: Pours a very deep brown that is almost black with a 1/4 an inch head that diminishes quickly.
S: Nice mellow scents like a nice breakfast of dark chocolate oatmeal with black coffee that has some dulce de leche creamer in it.
T: Kind of tastes like it smells but the flavors are even more subdued. There is no wow or punch here. Just not a fan, no flavor steps out and says here I am, it is all just a swirl of bland flavors. All I get is this weird oat flavor that kills all the other notes.
M: Even carbonation throughout that is pretty smooth with only a few bumps, that aren't really noticeable.
O: This sounded pretty good, but it isn't very interesting.

12 ounce can purchased at the local grocery.
A: Very nice reddish brown with a 1and a half finger head with moderate dissipation.
S: Chocolate, coffee and malt. Outstanding.
T: Same as the smell. Very good.
M: About what I generally expect from a brown. Maybe a tad light.
O: Simply a great ale, brown or otherwise.

poured dark brown in color with slight ruby highlights, no head whatsoever that left no lacing sticking to the glass.a combination of grains and brown sugar were noticeable upfront in the nose alongside hidden coffee, mild sugar and traces of vanilla. The brown sugar character is just as potent on the palate with oatmeal grain flavor and a touch of coffee. The brew was light to medium in body with a very low amount of carbonation which had a sweet malty finish.
